LFA 148: Leyva Vs Brown Betting Favorites, Fights Analysis & Predictions

We have a bit of a late event set to go on Friday night, but it’s one that looks to be well worth staying up for. LFA 148 gets started at 10 PM EST on Friday evening and has 6 great fights on the main card, the headliner of which is a big title bout. This event is available to subscribers of UFC Fight Pass, but even if you can’t tune in, you can certainly still place some wagers and cash your winning tickets. Let’s now take a moment to take a quick look at all 6 fights, with LFA Betting predictions in place for each.

MMA Betting Preview for LFA 148: Leyva Vs Brown

Jeffrey Craig Vs Ernest Rodriguez

We get the ball rolling with a Welterweight bout that features a pair of fighters still in the early stages of life as a pro. Craig is out to a great start, winning all 3 of his fights, 2 of which came with the LFA. Rodriguez does have a loss to his name, but he is still a respectable 4-1 in the early part of his career. I am leaning toward Craig for the decision win.

Cody Davis Vs Alvaro Prado

Next up is a Flyweight bout, and again we are looking at a pair of fighters looking to build some experience. Davis saw his career get off to a 5-0 start, but he lost last time out and is looking to bounce back. Prado has the exact same 5-1 record, but he comes into this one having won 4 in a row. Prado may have the momentum, but I think it will be Davis who gets the decision win.

Dione Barbosa Vs Mariana Piccolo

The ladies are up next for a Flyweight bout, with both of them very much in need of a win. Barbosa came storming out of the gate, winning her first 3 fights as a pro, but she has since lost 2 in a row. Piccolo is sitting at 1-1 after her first 2 fights and looking to bounce back from a loss last time out. This is a tough call, but I think Barbosa edges it.

Richie Miranda Vs James Wilson

We have a very evenly matched looking Lightweight bout up next on the main card. Miranda comes into this one looking to maintain his perfect record, which currently sits at 5-0, with 2 wins coming with LFA. Wilson is 4-1 (1-1 LFA) and is looking to rebound after losing his last fight. This should be a good one, but I have Miranda getting the win.

Danny Silva Vs Canaan Kawaihe

Next up is a Featherweight bout that serves as the co-main event of the evening. Silva brings in a perfect 6-0 record, although it should be noted that this will be just his 2nd fight with the LFA. Kawaihe is 6-2 overall, and he too has just 1 fight with the LFA, which he did manage to win. I think this one goes the distance and Silva maintains his perfect record.

Alfonso Leyva Vs Chris Brown

The LFA Welterweight Championship remains vacant, but nor for long, as one of these two men will walk away with the belt. Leyva comes into this title fight with a perfect 6-0 record, although just 1 on of those wins with the LFA. Brown is 9-4 overall and has a solid 5-2 record during his time with the LFA. This should be a fun fight and I have Leyva with the KO win.
