The MMA weekend starts today, as we have a couple of different events ready to go before getting to the UFC action on Saturday night. It’s time to open up UFC Fight Pass and get into LFA 152, which is set to go on Friday night starting at 9 PM EST. We don’t have any title fights in this one, but it is a pretty busy main card, with no less than 6 fights to choose from. We are now going to quickly break down each bout and see if we can pick some winners along the way at LFA Betting, so let’s get right to it.
MMA Betting Preview and Picks for LFA 152: Valente vs Bekoev Main Card
When: Friday, February 10, 2023
Where: Grand Casino Hotel & Resort Shawnee, Oklahoma
Time: 9:00 PM EST
TV: UFC Fight Pass
Jessica Middleton Vs Dione Barbosa
We get the night started with the women and a Bantamweight bout where both fighters could really use a win. Middleton has not had the best tie as a pro, putting together a 5-6 record to this point. She comes into this one on the heels of back-to-back losses. Barbosa did manage to win last time out, but that snapped a 2-fight losing skid. She is now 4-2 overall, but I think she improves that record with a win here.
An Ho Vs Enkhjargal Banzaragch
Next up is a Flyweight bout, with both of these fighters still in the early stages of life as a pro. Ho has made a very good start, winning each of his first 2 fights, and all without needing to beyond Round 1. He will face Banzaragch, who can’t seem to get anything going right now, as he is coming off a loss that dropped him to 2-2 overall. I like Ho to get the job done quickly once again.
Brandon Phillips Vs Magomed Idrisov
We have a Bantamweight bout up next, and one that you have to believe could be over rather quickly. Phillips is 8-5 overall and has been inconsistent of late, losing 3 of his last 5 fights. On the flipside, you have Idrisov, who is making life as a pro look easy by winning each of his furst 7 fights. This should be another win for Idrisov, who I think gets the job done via submission.
Demoreo Dennis Vs Trevor Wallace
We have the big boys stepping into the octagon next for a Heavyweight bout that looks unlikely to go the distance. Dennis is coming off a win that took him to 7-5 overall, but that victory came after a 2-fight losing skid. It is the same story for Wallace, who lost 2 in a row before bouncing back with a win last time out to move to 5-2 overall. These men are going to come out swinging and I like Wallace for the KO win.
Manny Muro Vs William Starks
For the co-main event of the evening, we have a Lightweight bout set to go. Muro comes into this one as the underdog, going 13-7 overall and winning 4 of his last 5, so he is in decent form. He will have a tough time against Starks, though, as he comes in with a very respectable 8-3 record. I think it will be Starks winning via KO.
Renato Valente Vs Azamat Bekoev
We close the night out with a Middleweight bout between a pair of very good fighters. Valente is out of Brazil and comes into this one with a 9-5 career mark, but he has struggled to find consistency, going 3-2 in his last 5. Bekoev is 14-3 overall, but like his opponent, he has a couple of recent losses. This one, though, feels like it is set up for Bekoev to get back on track, so he should win quickly.
