For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on LFA 153, which is home to a 5-fight main card. There are no title fights in this one, but still 5 very solid looking bouts, with the action set to go at 9 PM EST on Friday night. Rachel Martinez Vs Alandria Brown
We get the evening started with a women’s Strawweight bout and a pair of fighters who don’t have much in the way of pro experience. Martinez has had just 1 pro fight, but she made it look easy, getting the job done in just 4 minutes. It has been more of a challenge for Brown, who comes into this one with a 2-1 record. Not a lot to go on here, but I think Martinez will take it via the KO.
Josh Streacker Vs Ahmad Suhail Hassanzada
Next up is a Lightweight bout, with both of these fighters looking to bounce back after taking a loss last time out. Streacker is sitting at 8-5 overall, but he has been off of late, losing 3 of his last 5 fights. Hassanzada may be coming into this one off a loss, but he does have the better record at 9-2, so he will almost certainly be the favorite here. I like Hassanzada to take this one via submission.
Bahromjon Mashrapov Vs Logan Urban
Next up is a Welterweight bout that promises to be a bot of a brawl, as both of these fighters have some stopping power. Mashrapov has a very respectable 6-2 record and comes in on a 3-fight win streak. Urban is 6-1, while also having a No Contest a couple of fights back, and has made a habit of getting his fights over rather quickly. I like him to keep that run going with the KO win in this one.
Askar Askar Vs Matheus Silva
The co-main event of the night is a good one, but you could argue that both of these fighters need the win in the worst way. Askar has an impressive record of 14-3, but he has seen 2 of those losses coming in his last 5 fights. Silva went 7-0 to start life as a pro before hitting a wall and losing 2 in a row, although he did win last time out. I think we will see this one go the distance, with Askar getting the nod.
Jose Mariscal Vs Guilherme Faria
We close the night out with a Featherweight bout and a pair of fighters who have been a little up and down in their time as a pro. Mariscal is 12-6 overall, and while he has won 2 in a row, those wins came after a 2-fight losing skid. It has been much the same story for Faria, who is 18-9 overall and coming off a pair of wins after losing 2 in a row. Very evenly matched bout, but I have Mariscal winning by decision.
