It’s a bit of a strange, some might even say quiet, week in MMA, mostly because there is no UFC event to look forward to this weekend. The fact that UFC is having a week off means that there are events coming on Saturday that would usually fall on another day of the week to make way for the undisputed champ of the MMA circuit. While it will certainly be disappointing to some that the UFC is out of commission this weekend, there is no reason to be too down, as there is still plenty of very good fight action coming our way over the next few days. In fact, this might be your chance to focus on organizations outside of the UFC, assuming you haven’t checked them out in the past. With all of this in mind, see the MMA odds and let’s look ahead to what’s coming over the next few days.
MMA Events during this week: Don’t miss out on these betting events
Bellator 293
When: Friday at 7 PM EST
Where: Pechanga Resort Casino, Temecula, CA
TV / Streaming: Showtime/Prelims: YouTube
It’s not a title fight night in Bellator, but we do still have a very good main card, plus plenty of betting opportunities to look forward to with this event. All told, there are 5 fights set to go on the main card, which includes a pair of fights that are in as the main events. The first of those fights is the co-main event, which sees Cat Zingano go against Leah McCourt in a women’s Featherweight bout. That is followed by the final fight of the evening between Marcelo Golm and Daniel James, a pair of bruising Heavyweights.

RIZIN 41
When: Saturday at 12 AM EST
Where: Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka, Osaka, Japan
TV / Streaming: FITE
If you don’t mind staying up a little later, you’ll have plenty of chances to win at the RIZIN 41 event. This one is a little different in that there are a number of different fighting styles on display. It is an absolutely massive main card, with no less than 11 fights on tap. As well as the usual MMA bouts, we also have some kickboxing fights sprinkled in. The highlight of this one, though, might be the headline bout, which is a custom rules fight between Koji Tanaka and Ryusei Ashizawa.

PFL Week 1
When: Saturday at 6 PM EST
Where: Universal Studios, Orlando
TV / Streaming: fuboTV
With the UFC on hold for a week, the PFL returns and takes the Saturday slot. This is an organization that is growing in popularity, thanks in large part to the different events that they are now putting together. We already had the Challenger Series to start the year, followed by a European event last weekend. This one, though, is the start of the regular season proper, so a lot to look forward to. In the past the PFL has focused on one weight class per week, but the opening week of the new season delivers a lot more. There are a total of 5 fights across 3 different weight classes set to go on Saturday night. It is a Featherweight bout between Brendan Loughnane and Marlon Moraes that serves as the headliner on Saturday night.
