Another new week means another set of great MMA events to look forward to. There is, as always, a lot going on and we will do all we can to make sure that you are up to date with all that is happening in the world of MMA. We will have fight breakdowns and predictions coming your way throughout the week, but for now, all we want to do is make you aware of the events that are coming over the next few days. The goal here is to help you better prepare your MMA wagers for the week, as we are sure that some of you will be skipping an event or two to focus solely on those that you feel most confident about. Let’s take a look at what is coming.
MMA Events during this week: Don’t miss out on these betting events
PFL Challenger Series Week 6
When: Friday, March 3
Where: Orlando, Florida, United States
Time: 9 PM EST
Streaming: fuboTV
The PFL Challenger Series rolls on, with the action for Week 6 focused on the Featherweights. If you haven’t been paying attention to this series of events, then allow us to quickly explain. Each week, the fighters taking part are looking to win a spot in the PFL proper, which comes later this year. It is usually only one or two fighters who get the nod and the chance to move on for a shot at winning a million dollars. There is a lot at stake here, so the fights are usually action-packed and fun to watch.
Cage Warriors 149
When: Friday, March 3
Where: Sycuan Casino Resort, San Diego, California
Time: 9 PM EST
Streaming: UFC Fight Pass
Those of you who have subscribed to UFC Fight Pass will get the opportunity to check out the latest Cage Warriors event, which is being held in San Diego. There is certainly a lot going on in this one, with no less than 7 bouts set to go on the main card. The one thing that is missing here is a title fight, but there are still some good ones on the card. The headliner is a Featherweight bout between Roberto Hernandez and John De Jesus.
OKTAGON 40
When: Saturday, March 4
Where: Ostravar Aréna, Ostrava, Czech Republic
Time: 1 PM EST
Streaming: Internet PPV
We have something a little different with this event, which could prove to be a ton of fun. The actual title is OKTAGON 40: Gamechanger and it is in fact a Welterweight tournament, with this particular event devoted to the Round of 16. What is a little odd is that some of the tournament fights fall in the prelims and not the main card, so we can only assume that those are the fighters who are the longshots to win this thing. Still, it’s an interesting concept and can be seen on Internet PPV.
UFC 285
When: Saturday, March 4
Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
Time: 5:30 PM EST
Streaming: Pay Per View, Prelims: ESPN
Make no mistake about it, this is the event that all MMA fans are waiting for this week. The main card is outstanding and features a pair of title fights at the top of it. The first of those sees Valentina Shevchenko and Alex Grasso battle it out for the Women’s Flyweight Championship. That is followed by Jon Jones and Cyril Gane going head-to-head for the Heavyweight crown. An excellent card that is definitely a must watch and wager.
