Not all MMA events are created equal. Even in the UFC, which is the top of the heap in the sport, the numbered events are usually a bigger deal than the Fight Night promotions. Over in the ONE Championship, we always get a mixed bag, as their events tend to deliver several different fighting styles on the same card. One Championship 163 is no different in that regard, as there is a little something on there for everyone. In all, we have 5 fights set to go on the main card, which includes a pair of different title fights. All the action begins at 8 PM EST on Friday night, and if are an Amazon Prime member, you can tune into the fights as part of your deal. There is a lot of ground to cover. Let’s get right to it so you can get ready to bet against the ONE Championship Odds.
MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship 163: Akimoto Vs Petchtanong Event
Kevin Belingon Vs Jae Woong Kim
We get the evening started with a Featherweight bout that has a pair of fighters in desperate need of a win. Belingon has been as cold as ice of late, losing each of his last 4 fights to fall to 20-9 overall. While not quite in as poor shape as his opponent, Kim has also had recent struggles, losing 2 in a row and 3 of his last 5. This looks like an opportunity for Kim to snap out of a funk, as I like him to win by KO.
Cosmo Alexandre Vs Juan Cervantes
We move away from MMA and into the world of Muay Thai for the next bout on the main card. It has been a minute since we last saw Alexandre in the octagon, as he has not fought since 2019. It has been 7 years since his last Muay Thai bout. Cervantes has just 1 pro fight to his name, with that one coming in kickboxing bout, which he lost. This is a tough pick, but I am leaning toward Alexandre.
Bibiano Fernandes Vs Stephen Loman
We switch back to MMA action for this Featherweight bout that features one fighter in a great run of form. Fernandes is coming off a loss in his last outing and has gone 2-2 in his last 4 to see his record fall to 24-5. No such issues for Loman, who comes into this bout with a 16-2 record and a win streak that is now sitting at 10 in a row. Hard to bet against Loman here, although I think he will need to go the distance for the win.
Rodtang Jitmuangnong Vs Joseph Lasiri
The first of 2 title bouts is up next, with this one for the ONE Bantamweight Championship in Muay Thai. Jintuangnong comes into this one as the champion, and while he fights in different styles, it is Muay Thai where he has had real success. Lasiri has won 2 in a row ahead of this one, but overall, his professional Muay Thai record is 3-2. I think we see the champion keep his belt here.
Kiamrian Abbasov Vs Christian Lee
We close out the main card with the headline event, which is for the ONE Middleweight Championship. Abbasov is coming off a loss, but that one was for the Light Heavyweight Championship. He is much more comfortable in this weight class. Lee is an impressive 16-4 overall in his time with ONE and is more than deserving of a title shot. I think it will be Lee who takes the belt with a KO win.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
