2022 PFL World Championship Odds, Fights Analysis & Picks

After an exciting regular season and playoffs, the 2022 version of the PFL will come to a close with a great collection of championship fights. In all, there are 6 title fights on tap on Friday night, starting at 5:30 PM EST. This is a PPV event for those interested in wagering and tuning in, but you can also catch the prelims on ESPN+. By the time all is said and done, we will have 6 champions across all the weight classes, so let’s take a look at each of the big fights along with their PFL Odds.

MMA Odds and Betting Preview for the 2022 PFL World Championship

Omari Akhmedov (+176) Vs Rob Wilkinson (-227)

We get the evening rolling with the battle for the Light Heavyweight Championship. After a poor showing last year, Akhmedov came to life in 2022, winning all 3 fights on his way to the final. Wilkinson comes into this one on fire, winning 6 in a row, including all of his fights in this tournament. I think Wilkinson takes this one by KO.

Dilano Taylor (+147) Vs Sabidou Sy (-188)

The next fight up is for the Welterweight Championship. Taylor didn’t have things go all his way in the regular season, but he came away with a great Round 1 win in the playoffs to move on. Sy has won all 3 fights this season, but he has had to go the distance in each of those wins. I think this one goes all the way, with Sy getting the nod.

Stevie Ray (+296) Vs Olivier Aubin-Mercier (-416)

We have the Lightweights stepping into the octagon next for a shot at becoming champion. Ray lost his opening fight in the tournament, but he has bounced back nicely to win 2 in a row ahead of this one. Aubin-Mercier has had a perfect run, going the distance in all 3 bouts this year. I like Aubin-Mercier to take this one by decision.

Ante Delija (-270) Vs Matheus Scheffel (+204)

The big boys step into the octagon next to duke it out for the Heavyweight Championship. Delija went a perfect 3-0 to get to this point, with that run including a win over Scheffel in the regular season. Scheffel did well to bounce back from that loss, winning back-to-back fights ahead of this one. I think we get the same outcome here, which is a KO win for Delija.

Brendan Loughnane (-185) Vs Bubba Jenkins (+144)

The penultimate fight of the night is for the Featherweight Championship. Loughnane made it all the way to the semi-final last season and will be looking to go a little better this time around. Jenkins seemed to get better as this tournament went on, finishing it up with a Round 1 win the playoffs. That said, I think Loughnane gets the decision win.

Kayla Harrison (-625) Vs Larissa Pacheco (+410)

We have some real familiarity going on here, as this will be the 3rd time that these women have met. Harrison has dominated this event and comes into with a 15-0 career mark, which includes a pair of decision wins over her opponent. Pacheco has won 5 in a row ahead of this one and made things look easy, but I think she is up against it in the Championship bout.
