NASCAR 2021 Toyota Tundra 225 Betting Predictions

Written by on May 19, 2021

We were promised some exciting additions to the NASCAR schedule this season, and you have to say that the promise has been upheld. We have already had a dirt race and now this weekend the drivers head to Austin, Texas for a road race at the Circuit of the Americas. This is going to be a real challenge for all involved and we will do our best to cover all the action. We will get the ball rolling by taking a look at the Toyota Tundra 225, which is the Truck Series event coming up this weekend. Let’s take a closer look at the current top 4 in the drive standings to see if the winner might come from there so you can get all set to bet against NASCAR Truck Series odds.

NASCAR World Truck Series Betting Preview for the Toyota Tundra 225

John H. Nemechek

The drivers who are currently sitting in the top 4 in the Truck Series driver standings have picked up road course wins over the past few years, so that tends to even things out a little. With that in mind, we will be looking at what they have delivered to this point in the season. Nemechek has been a part-time driver in the Truck Series over the years, but he is fully committed to it this season and is making the most of it. Nemechek already has 2 wins on the season, and other than a poor showing in the dirt race at Bristol, he has not been outside of the top 10 in any race. That type of consistency means that this is a driver you should be paying attention to.

Ben Rhodes

Rhodes made a start to the 2021 season that was always going to be impossible to maintain, winning each of the first 2 races of the year. While he has yet to pick up another win since then, he has certainly not been slacking, as he has finished outside of the top 10 just once through the opening 8 races of the season. That includes a pair of 2nd place finishes, with the latest of those coming at the last race out in Darlington. Rhodes has certainly looked dangerous all season long, so it is impossible to count him out this coming weekend.

Sheldon Creed

If you look at what Sheldon Creed did in 2020, you see a lot of parallels to what he is delivering through the first 8 races of this season. Last year, it was race 7 before he got his first win, which then propelled him to a championship, with his other wins coming later in the season. After a bit of a slow start again this season, he picked up his first win at Darlington last week, which helped move him into 3rd in the driver standings. That may well mean that he has served notice and let everyone know that he is not going to relinquish his title without a fight.

Austin Hill

Hill is a driver still looking for his first win of the season after winning a pair of races in the 2020 season and finishing 6th overall. He usually performs well on road courses, so he is certainly worth a look this coming weekend. Hill is sliding into form after a rough couple of races to start the season. In the last 6 races, he has been outside the top 10 just once and has 3 podium finishes to his name. He might be worth taking a shot on.
