We are already a couple of months into the 2022 NASCAR season, and we have seen some big surprises already. That said, things have gone pretty much as expected in the Xfinity Series, where there are some very familiar names sitting at the top of the driver standings after the opening races of the season. Some very clear favorites have emerged in the early going, but everyone will be well aware that it’s a long season and that fortunes can change rather quickly from week to week. This weekend, the Xfinity Series drivers will take to the Martinsville track on Friday night at 7:30 PM EST for the Call 811 Before You Dig 250. Let’s now take a look at a few drivers who might be able to come away with the win this weekend so you can make your bets against their NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for Call 811 Before You Dig 250 Race
AJ Allmendinger
After a long career racing in the Cup Series, Allmendinger decided to maker the full-time switch to the Xfinity Series in 2021. It proved to be a fantastic decision, as he picked up 4 wins on the season and made it to the final four in the playoffs before coming up a little short in the end. Allmendinger has made another solid start to the 2022 season and already has a win under his belt, taking the checkered flag on the road course at the Circuit of the Americas. He has yet to finish outside the top 10 in each of the 7 races to this point, and while his best finish at this track was 7th last year, expect him to be in the hunt.
Ty Gibbs
At the tender age of 19, it would appear that Ty Gibbs has a very big career in his future. He raced sporadically in the Xfinity Series in 2021 and still managed to put together 4 wins and an overall finish of 13th. I think it’s more than fair to suggest that he is going to have a better finish than that in 2022, as he has already picked up 3 wins and set a marker suggesting that he is the driver to beat this season. Two of the races he competed in last season were at the Martinsville track, and while one of them was poor, he did finish 4th in the early part of the year.
Noah Gragson
As a professional driver, all that you can really hope for is to do better with each passing season. That is very much the path that Gragson is on at the moment as he looks to better the 3rd pace overall finish that he delivered in 2021. He landed on the podium in the first 4 races of the season, including a win in Phoenix in race #4, and while he has cooled off a little since then, he still has to be considered a threat in every race. He has a 1st and a 2nd in the races at Martinsville last season, so I would be very tempted to take him to win this one.
Josh Berry
This is a driver that has bounced around a little during his career, but he is settling into a full season in the Xfinity Series, sitting in the top 4 in the driver standings in the early going. He has yet to win this season, but he is worth mentioning given that he won at this level at Martinsville back in 2017. Potentially a dark horse bet here.
