Joey Logano Favored: Coke Zero Sugar 400 Betting Odds & Picks for NASCAR

Another week of Cup Series action in the books and another new driver at the top of the standings.

This has been a wild season in that regard, as we have seen several different drivers claim the top spot over the course of the year, with none of them able to maintain that lead for any major stretch of time.

Betting NASCAR Odds this Weekend, Favorites at Coke Zero Sugar 400
1. Joey Logano | 561 points
2. Denny Hamlin | 711 points
4. Ryan Blaney | 732 points
3. Kyle Busch | 513 points

My Cup Series Analysis

It’s tight at the top, and with just 2 races to come before we get to the playoffs, it’s anyone’s guess as to who might be the driver that ends the season in the #1 slot.

The picture should get a little clearer after this weekend’s race, the Coke Zero Sugar 400, in Daytona.

It’s the penultimate race of the regular season, so expect some fireworks. This one is set to go at 7:30 PM EST on Saturday night, so let’s look at the current favorites.

Joey Logano NASCAR Pick +910

With just 1 win this season and a run of form that leaves something to be desired, I think it’s fair to say that Logano is a surprise favorite for this race, with his odds suggesting that this one is pretty wide open.

There has to be a real sense of urgency for Logano at this point, given that he is sitting down in 15th in the driver standings and pretty far from being a lock for the playoffs.

He has had a bit of an up and down ride at Daytona over the last couple of seasons, landing in the top 5 twice and being totally out of the running twice.

I think a top 5 finish might be the way to play Logano this weekend.

Denny Hamlin NASCAR Pick +940

Hamlin comes into this weekend on the heels of a couple of top 10 finishes in the last 2 races, but he is still losing ground at the top of the driver standings, dropping a couple of spots down to 6th.

He will definitely be part of the playoffs, but you can bet that he would like to edge a little closer to the #1 spot before the postseason begins.

A win at Daytona would help the cause, and he has had some success on this track, winning there 3 times over the course of a 5-year stretch.

That was a while ago, though, so top 3 seems a safer pick to me.

Ryan Blaney NASCAR Pick +1050

When it comes to this particular race, Ryan Blaney has been a winner in the past, taking the checkered flag back in the 2021 season.

He has not really been close to a win at Daytona since then, but you have to keep that prior victory in kind when it comes time to wager on this race.

Blaney has picked up the pace in the second half of the season, winning a pair of races and moving into the top 4. He is definitely worth a look on Saturday.

Kyle Busch NASCAR Pick +1200

The next two weeks are going to be crucial for Busch, as he looks to win his way into the top 16.

Right now, he is sitting just below the cut line, so he needs a strong showing in the final 2 weeks to get in. He is coming off a solid run in Michigan last week, where he broke into the top 5, but can he repeat that or do even better at Daytona?

He has finished in the top 10 in his last 2 runs in this race, so he does have a shot at getting in the mix.
