NASCAR Odds this Weekend: EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix Betting Analysis and Best Drivers to Win

It’s another big weekend of action in NASCAR coming our way, with the drivers ditching the oval in favor of the road track at the Circuit of the Americas.

These races require a very specific set of driving skills, which means that some drivers are going to be better equipped to handle this unique challenge than others. There are some guys that just always seem to be in the hunt in these particular races, which is why some of the favorites for this one are names that we don’t always see among the favorites on the bookies board. We will get to those odds in a moment, but first we should let you know that the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix is set to begin at 3:30 PM EST on Sunday afternoon.

NASCAR Race Odds and Favorites to Win EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix

  • Tyler Reddick +425
  • Chase Elliott +750
  • Christopher Bell +1000
  • William Byron +1000

Tyler Reddick

As he heads into his 5th season in the Cup Series, Reddick does not have a ton of wins on his resume, but the ones he does have mostly came on road tracks, which is why he is in as the favorite for the Sunday race. His start to the season has been a little uneven, but he does have a pair of top 10 finishes to his name, with a 2nd place run in Las Vegas being his best finish to this point. He may well break that goose egg this weekend, though, as it was Reddick who came out on top at the Circuit of the Americas last season.

Chase Elliott

Last season proved to be a bit of a nightmare for former champion Chase Elliott, with injuries and suspensions derailing his season. In the end, he failed to win a race and ended up missing out on the playoffs. This year, Elliott will be looking for a return to form, but he has not really delivered the goods just yet, and while he has not been terrible, he does only have one top 10 finish to this point. That might be about to change, though, as this is a driver who seems to thrive on road courses. Injury kept him out of this race in 2023, but he did finish top 5 the year prior.

Christopher Bell

Over the last couple of years, Bell has been very close to a championship win, making it to the Championship Round in back-to-back years. It feels as though he is very much knocking on the door, but will this be the season when he finally makes it all the way to the top? The start he has made suggests that he will be in the hunt, as he already has a win under his belt, as well as another podium finish. Bell did not have a great run in this race last year, but he was on the podium the year prior.

William Byron

Byron is another driver looking to take the next big step after a 3rd place overall finish last season. By this stage of the season in 2023, he had already picked up a pair of wins, and while he is not quite at that level, he does have a win this year, taking the checkered flag at the Daytona 500. He has cooled off a little, but this is another driver who likes road courses, picking up a win at Watkins Glen last season. I think he is a good pick to be in the top 5 this weekend.

2023 Cup Series EchoPark Automotive Betting Analysis

We are 5 races into the new NASCAR Cup Series season, and as you might expect, things are tight at the top. It is defending champion Joey Logano who has the lead at the moment, but there are 4 other drivers within 17 points of that lead, so it is not exactly what you would call secure. We may see things change rather dramatically this weekend, though, as the drivers are off to the Circuit of the Americas for the first road race of the season. This will be a definite change of pace, as well as a challenge that some drivers will be better equipped to handle than others. Chase Elliott would certainly have been among the favorites this weekend, but since he is still out with an injury, let’s look at some NASCAR odds

NASCAR Betting Odds, Analysis and Prediction for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix

Kyle Larson

It has not been the best start to the season for Larson, who has landed in the top 5 just twice through the opening 5 races. He failed to finish better than 18th in the other 3, so he could use a good run this weekend to kickstart his season. This track was not very kind to him last year, though, as he barely cracked the top 30, but if you go back to his championship winning season a couple of years ago, he had a 2nd place run at the COTA. Is that enough to make you want to throw some of your wagering dollars his way. Given his current form, I’m not so sure it is.

Ross Chastain

Chastain saw his 2023 campaign get off to a decent start with a pair of top 10 finishes in the opening 2 races. Since then, though, he has failed to crack the top 10, but he has finished just outside of it twice, which is enough to have him sitting in the top 3 in the current driver standings. This is a track that he really seems to enjoy, as he finished 4th here in 2021 before taking the checkered flag in this corresponding race last season. I would be very tempted to take him to repeat or to at least finish in the top 5.

Kyle Busch

Busch has been steady, if somewhat unspectacular, through the opening 3 races of the season, although he did manage to pick up a win in the 3rd race of the 2023 season. That is good enough to have him sitting in 7th overall and only 24 points out of first. He had a top 10 finish on this track a couple of years ago, but he followed that up with a disappointing run in 2022. You can never really count Busch out, but I’m not sure Id be playing him to win this weekend.

Tyler Reddick

During his 3 years as a full-time driver in the Cup Series, Reddick has failed to make too much of an impact, although with 2 wins last season, there are some signs that he might just be ready to break out. His last couple of races back that up, as he has now had back-to-back top 5 finishes under his belt. He has been top 10 in his last 2 runs at the COTA, including a 5th place run last season, so he might just extend that top 5 streak to 3 races on Sunday.
