Let’s see the Current Odds for the Jack Link’s 500, Top 3 Finishers & Championship Betting Lines

During the course of the regular season, you can always count on NASCAR to deliver racing action every single weekend. There are instances when all 3 series (Cup: Jack Link’s 500 Odds, Xfinity, Truck) race over the weekend, but there are also some weeks when we only get 1 or 2 races.

The Cup Series took a break for Easter last weekend, so we are all anxious to see the top drivers in the sport return to action.

Jack Link’s 500 Odds: NASCAR Betting Racing Weekend

We also have a Xfinity Series race this weekend, but we cover that, as well as information about the Truck Series, in a separate article, so keep an eye open for that one.

For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on the Cup Series.

With that in mind, we will look at the current standings, the odds for the race this weekend, as well as the odds for the championship.

We will also make some predictions, so let’s get to it.

Season to This Point and Current Standings

We are only 9 races into the 2025 Cup Series season, so there is still plenty of time for things to change at the top, and for those below the playoff line to get back into the top 16.

If you are waiting to make your wager on the Cup Series champions, you will probably be keeping an eye on the odds, as those tend to change after every race.

We will get into the latest odds at the end of this piece, but for now, let’s take a look at the top 5 in the driver standings:

  • William Byron – 346 points
  • Denny Hamlin – 316 points
  • Christopher Bell – 305 points
  • Kyle Larson – 304 points
  • Chase Elliott – 278 points

As you can see, things are tight at the top of the standings, but are we going to see one driver pull away from the pack, or will things remain close throughout?

Only time will give us that answer, so let’s stick to the task at hand, which is to talk about the race coming this weekend.

Jack Link’s 500 Odds: Current Top 3 Finishers

This weekend, we are off to Talladega for the next race on the Cup Series schedule. It’s always important to mention the track, since it’s one of the things to consider when wagering on motor sports.

Every driver seems to have one racetrack that they prefer over all others and always perform well on. Who will that be this weekend?

Let’s do something a little different this weekend by looking at the odds for a Top 3 Finish:

Ryan Blaney (+285)

Blaney may still be awaiting his first win of the season, but Blaney has been pretty consistent. He is sitting just off the pace in 6th overall in the driver standings after landing in the top 5 in each of the last 2 races.

He did not perform very well in 2 races at Talladega last season, but the year prior, he finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, in the races on that track.

Will his performance this weekend be like last season or the year before? I am going to play it safely and suggest wagering on Blaney to land in the top 10.

Joey Logano (+310)

After winning the Cup Series championship in 2 of the last 3 seasons, the expectation was that Logano would be in the mix again this year.

That might still happen, but for now, you have to say that the champion is struggling.

He has only been in the top 10 once this season, and he is currently sitting down in 9th in the driver standings, none of which inspires a ton of confidence.

This is a track that has not been kind to Logano over the last few years, so I am going to pass on him completely this weekend.

Kyle Busch (+350)

Busch used to be one of those guys that you would consider wagering on every weekend, but the shine has come off in the last few seasons, with Busch even missing out on the playoffs in 2024 after finishing 20th overall.

As it stands right now, he is sitting just above the playoff cut line in 15th overall, and while he does not have a win this year, he does have a trio of top 10 finishes to his name.

He also won this race in 2024, so he does have a recent history of success on this track. Still, a top 10 finish might be the best we can hope for this weekend.

Brad Keselowski (+380)

If you want to talk about a driver being a perfect fit for a specific track, we need to talk about Keselowski and Talladega.

It has been a miserable year for Keselowski to this point, but you can never count him out on this track.

He finished 2nd in both Talladega races last season and always seems to bring his A-Game to this track.

His current form does make me more than a little nervous, but of the drivers listed in this group, I believe it is Keselowski who is most likely to be on the podium.

NASCAR Cup Series Championship Odds

Now that we know what the current driver standings look like, and how we think the race might go this weekend, it’s time to start thinking about the future.

Who will make it into the playoffs and go on a run that will take them to a championship?

Will it be a former winner like Larson. Elliott, or Logano, or is someone going to come out of the blue to win it for the first time?

That is the decision you need to make, so let’s take a look at the current odds of winning the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in 2025:

It is going to be interesting to see how those odds change in the coming weeks as months as we draw ever closer to crowning a champion.
