We are a month away from the start of the Xfinity Series playoffs, which begins with the Round of 12.

What that means is that we have 4 races remaining for drivers to crack into the top 12 or cement their position if they are already in that group.

There is also the question of the #1 spot waiting to be answered. While the goal of every driver is to win the championship, finishing at the top of the driver standings after a long regular season is still very much a great achievement.

This weekend, the action shifts to Darlington for the running of the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200.

Let’s take a look at the current odds for this race.

Christopher Bell +350

It is going to be a tough test for the regular Xfinity Series drivers this weekend, as we have a couple of guys dropping in from the Cup Series.

Christopher Bell is having a very good season in the Cup Series, with 3 wins already under his belt. He has only raced once at this level, in 2024, but he came away with the win in New Hampshire in that one.

While that might suggest that he is a lock this weekend, I’m not so sure if that is the case, as he finished 7th in this race last season.

Even when he was an Xfinity Series regular, the Darlington track proved to be a problem.

Despite 2024 being arguably Christopher Bell’s best season in the Cup Series, it has also been his most inconsistent.

Justin Allgaier +360

You can’t talk about Allgaier without mentioning how consistently good he has been as a driver in the Xfinity Series.

The problem he has is that he has never been able to translate that consistency into a championship win. Is this the season where he finally lands that elusive title?

He is certainly on pace at the moment, sitting atop the driver standings, but there are still a lot of races to come.

He has won in Darlington twice over the last 2 seasons, although not in this particular race. A top 3 wager seems like a good way to go.

Cole Custer +450

The defending Xfinity Series champion has been somewhat under the radar this season, winning just once to this point.

That said, he has done enough to be sitting in 2nd at the moment, so while he may be quiet right now, we are all waiting for Custer to put the pedal to the metal.

He comes into this race on the heels of a pair of forgettable runs, so he might be due for a big one.

Custer finished 4th in this race last season and had a 3rd in Darlington earlier this year.

Chase Elliott +530

We have another Cup Series driver dropping in, with Elliott looking to get a run in on this track before the Sunday race.

Before making the jump to the top level, Elliott was a champion in the Xfinity Series, so it is easy to see why he is among the favorites here.

He has raced once at this level in 2024, winning that one, although that was his only victory in the Xfinity Series since moving up.

I would definitely take Elliott to land in the top 3.
