NASCAR 2021 In It To Win It 200 Betting Analysis & Prediction

NASCAR is a little different from other major sports in that it is split into three very definite series, all of which operate on their own schedule. Yes, the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series generally land in the same location every week, but while the Cup Series playoffs start this weekend, the trucks are already underway with theirs. The Round of 10 started last week, with Sheldon Creed kicking off the playoffs with a win and will have 2 more races before cutting the field down to 8. The first of those races comes this weekend in Darlington with the In It to Win It 200 on Sunday. Those below the playoff line need to pick up points in the worst way possible, while the leaders try to ensure that they are in this thing for the long haul. Let’s take a look at some of the potential favorites for this weekend so you can get ready to place your bets against their NASCAR Truck Series odds.

NASCAR World Truck Series Betting Preview for the In It To Win It 200 Race

John H. Nemechek

With Nemechek sitting atop the driver standings at this stage of the season, there is no concern about missing out on the first cut. That said, he also doesn’t want to get into a position where he gets cold at the wrong time of the season. Nemechek went into last week on a very good run of form, with 3 wins in the previous 5 races. It looked as though he was gearing up for the playoffs, so it was more than a little surprising to see Nemechek finish 22nd at Gateway in the opening race of the postseason. Will that be a blip on the radar or a sign of things to come?

Sheldon Creed

Anyone who believed that Sheldon Creed was going to give up the Truck Series title without a fight was served a rather harsh reminder that he is still the champ. With just 1 win in the regular season, a lot of people were suggesting that he was having an off year, but he then silences the pundits by delivering a winning performance in the opening round. What is perhaps even scarier is that the lone regular season win came at Darlington, the location of the race this weekend. Might it be 2 in a row for Creed to start the playoffs?

Ben Rhodes

At the very start of the season, it looked as though Ben Rhodes was going to be the man to beat in 2021. He came storming out of the gates, winning the opening 2 races of the season before landing on the podium just 3 more times the rest of the way. While it would have been easy to write Rhodes off heading into the playoffs, he too sprang to life at Gateway last week, finishing 3rd in that race. In his earlier run at Darlington this season, he landed in 3rd there, too.

Matt Crafton

You have to go all the way back to the middle of last season to find the last time that Crafton took the checkered flag in the Truck Series. What gets lost here is the fact that he was the champion in 2019 without picking up a victory, and that he has won it all a total of 3 times. This is a driver who knows how to get the job done in the playoffs, as seen by his 2nd place finish last weekend. In his previous run at Darlington this season, Crafton finished 4th.
