We are 10 races into the Xfinity Series season and there is a definite pattern beginning to emerge. We have had 6 different winners through those 10 races, but there is a batch of 5 drivers who appear to be battling it out for the top spot in the driver standings. This weekend, they all head to Darlington for the Mahindra ROXOR 200, which is set to go off on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM EST. The question here is whether we will see someone new emerge and win or whether it will be that top group. Let’s take a quick look at those 5 drivers so you can get ready to make your bets against the NASCAR Xfinity Series Odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for Mahindra ROXOR 200 Race
AJ Allmendinger
After making the permanent switch to the Xfinity Series in 2021, veteran driver Allmendinger has seen an upswing in his career. He finished 4th overall last season and is once again sitting atop the driver standings after the first 10 races. Allmendinger has 1 win under his belt this season, but he has also been on the podium in 4 other races besides that victory. There were 2 runs at Darlington last season, and while Allmendinger didn’t do much in those, he is still a threat here.
Ty Gibbs
After a great season in 2021, where Gibbs ran in the Xfinity Series on a part-time basis, the next logical move was to go full-time. That is exactly what Gibbs has done and it has proven to be a wise move. Gibbs already has a trio of wins on the season and looks like one of the favorites to win it all in 2022. That is already just 1 less than he managed all last season. He did not show up well in Darlington last season, but Gibbs cannot be ignored.
Noah Gragson
Gragson is looking to take another step forward after finishing 3rd overall last season and he is certainly making a mark early on. He already has 2 wins on the season and also has 3 other podium finishes through the opening 10 races of the year. This is who I like to win on Saturday, as Gragson has been good at Darlington, winning one and finishing 4th in the 2 races on that track in 2021.
Josh Berry
Since 2014, Berry has raced very sparingly in the Xfinity Series, but he has seen some success during that time, including a pair of wins last season. It was perhaps that performance last season that prompted him to race full-time in the Xfinity Series in 2022. He has been consistent through the first 10 races of the season and got his reward with a win in the last race on the schedule. He ran 2nd in 2017 at Darlington, his last time on that track.
Brandon Jones
The breakthrough season for Jones came in 2020, when he had a pair of wins and finished 6th overall in the driver standings. He took a small backward step last season, failing to pick up a win, although he did have 4 podium finishes. He has already bested his 2021 effort by picking up a win this season. Jones had a 3rd place finish at Darlington last season, so he could well be in the mix this coming weekend.
