The NASCAR playoffs roll on this weekend as we draw ever closer to the end of the season and the crowning of the champions. Each of the three series have big races set to go in Martinsville over the weekend, but we will tackle the Cup Series race in a separate article. For now, we are going to focus on the Truck and Xfinity Series events, so we still have a lot of ground to cover. The action begins with the trucks on Friday night and the NASCAR Hall of Fame 200. That is followed up by the Xfinity Series race on Saturday, which is the Draft Top 250. These are the final races before the cut is made and the final 4 are decided, so it’s all to race for this weekend. Let’s take a closer look at both races so you can make your bets against their NASCAR odds.
Truck Series & Xfinity Series Events for the Weekend | NASCAR Betting
Trucks Series – NASCAR Hall of Fame 200 – Friday at 8 PM EST
There are just 2 open spots left in the final 4 as we head into the penultimate race of the season in the Truck Series. Sheldon Creed, who punched his ticket with a win in Texas last weekend, and Brett Moffitt are already in, but who will join them, and who will win this weekend?
In terms of winning this race, you need to take a long hard look at Creed, as he in in a fine run of form at the moment. Besides winning last weekend, he also has a pair of 2nd place finishes over the past 4 weeks. Could he suddenly be the favorite to win it all?
Brett Moffitt will be moving on, but he will want to keep his chances of winning alive with another win here. He did not perform well at Martinsville when he raced there last season, but he finished second in the year prior to that.
The other two spots are up for grabs, with Austin Hill and Zane Smith looking like good bets to be in there. A win this weekend for either driver would take off all the pressure.
Xfinity Series – Draft Top 250 – Saturday at 3:30 PM EST
With Harrison Burton winning last weekend in Texas, the top 4 in the driver standing remains pretty much the same. What that means, though, is that for the drivers sitting below the cut line, this is the last chance to make to get into the final 4.
Chase Briscoe, who has a very nice lead at the top, is still the man to beat, and while he is safely through, you know he would love to get his 10th win of the season on Saturday. With 3 wins in his last 6 races, he has to be the favorite here.
Austin Cindric is still trying to recapture the form that saw him win 5 races in a 6-week span earlier in the season, but he is coming off a solid run in Texas last weekend, where he finished in 4th. Always worth a look.
Justin Allgaier and Justin Haley round out the current top 4, but they will be feeling the pressure this weekend, with several drivers in with a shot at stealing one of those spots and moving into the top 4 and the final race of the season.
