NASCAR Production Alliance Group 300 Odds Favorites, Betting Analysis and Picks 2023

Week 1 of the new NASCAR Xfinity Series season is in the books, but much like the sport itself, things move quickly. This weekend, the drivers will be heading to the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California for the next race on what is a busy schedule. The race in question is the Production Alliance Group 300, which is set to go on Saturday, starting at 5 PM EST. While it is still very, very early in the season, drivers will be looking to get out to a quick start in order to build some momentum as the season progresses. We are hoping for another good race this weekend, so let’s look at the NASCAR Xfinity Series betting analysis and some drivers that might well make an impact on Saturday.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for the 2023 Production Alliance Group 300 Race

Austin Hill

This is the second full season in the Xfinity Series for Hill, and the opening week proved to be more of the same, as he won in Daytona for the second straight year. Last season, he followed that win up with a rather poor showing in California, but now that he has some experience at this level under his belt, perhaps we can expect more from him this weekend. All told, Hill had 2 wins on the 2022 season and will need to do better if he is to improve on his 6th place overall finish from last season. I think he has a chance to be in the mix in this one.

Justin Allgaier

Whenever we talk about the Xfinity Series and potential race winners, Justin Allgaier is a name that gets mentioned more often than not. There is good reason for that, as this is a driver that has been the model of consistency from day one in the Xfinity Series. He always seems to be in the hunt for a championship, yet he has never gone all the way and won it all. This season is off to a familiar start for Allgaier, who finished 2nd behind Hill in the opening race of the season in Daytona. This is a track that he has yet to win at, but he does have a 2nd place finish in Fontana and was top 10 there last year.

John H. Nemechek

You have to go back to 2019 to find the last time Nemechek raced a full season in the Xfinity Series. Since then, he has bounced around a bit, but he has decided to commit to the series on a full-time basis in 2023. Given what we have seen from him to this point in his career, it is not ridiculous to suggest that he could well be in the running for a championship this season. He certainly got things off to a very decent start, finishing 3rd at Daytona last weekend. His previous runs on this track have not been great, but I expect more from him this time around.

Cole Custer

After 3 somewhat mediocre seasons in the Cup Series, Custer is turning his attention to the Xfinity Series in 2023. The bookies seem to like the move, as they have him in as the favorite to win it all. He quickly discovered that getting to a championship is not going to be easy, as he had to settle for a 9th place finish in Daytona last weekend. The last time he raced on this track at this level, he came away with the win, so he has to be considered a favorite on Saturday.
