During the course of a long, arduous season, it’s always good for NASCAR drivers to have a bit of a break. While the Cup Series drivers will be in action in Texas this weekend, they will be taking part in the All-Star Race, so the pressure is certainly off. That is not the case in the other two series in NASCAR, though, as they will both be in action, with their drivers looking to score some valuable points in the race for a championship. We will be taking a look at both of these races, as well as the All-Star Race, but we are going to get the ball rolling with the Trucks Series and the SpeedyCash.com 200, which is set to go at 8:30 PM EST on Friday night. Let’s take a closer look at the favorites for this one so you can get all set to make your bets against the NASCAR Xfinity Series Odds.
NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for SpeedyCash.com 220 Race
John Hunter Nemechek (+330)
There were a lot of NASCAR fans who had Nemechek in as the favorite to win it all this season, and while he disappointed in the first 2 races of the season, he has been on fore ever since. Over the last 5 races, he has picked up a win and has not finished worse than 6th, which is a run that has moved him all the way up to 2nd in the driver standings. It’s a very solid run of form and one that might be about to get even better this weekend in Texas. After all, it was Nemechek who came out on top in this race during the 2021 season, so plenty of reason to believe he might repeat.
Ross Chastain (+350)
2020 was the last season in which Chastain raced in the Truck Series on a full-time basis. He has since turned all his attention to the Cup Series, where he is having a very decent season, with very limited appearances in the Truck Series. He is dropping in this weekend and is unsurprisingly in as one of the favorites to win the SpeedyCash.com 220. His previous runs at Texas when racing at this level have not been great, but you have to look at what he has been doing over in the Cup Series in 2022. That might be enough to make you want to wager on him here.
Zane Smith (+500)
You really cannot get off to a much better start that Smith has done in the Truck Series this season. Through the opening 8 races of the year, he already has 3 wins under his belt, including a win in the previous race in Kansas. This is a driver that has finished 2nd overall in the driver standings in the last 2 seasons, so he is going all out to take it one step further this season. In the 2021 version of this race, Smith delivered a top 10 finish, so you can expect him to be in the mix on Friday.
Chandler Smith (+700)
Smith took a big career step last season, winning a couple of races late in the season to end up finishing 8th overall. He looks to be in the hunt again this year after the first 8 races, as he is currently sitting 4th overall. During those 8 races, Smith has picked up 1 win and been in the top 5 on 3 more occasions. He had a top 5 finish in this corresponding race last season, and given that he is in better form than he was this time last year, he might be a very good bet at these odds.
