We are still in the very early stages of the NASCAR season, but it already looks as though we are in for a very good battle across all 3 series. No driver has been able to fully take control in the early going, which means that we can expect things to be tight at the top of the driver standings until we do begin to see a driver or two take charge. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to turn our attention to the Xfinity Series, where we are seeing a tightly packed bunch vying for the top spot, with the lead there seemingly changing on a weekly basis. This weekend, the drivers will be in Richmond for the ToyotaCare 250, which is set to begin at 1:30 PM EST. Let’s take a look at a few drivers who might be in the hunt to win this one so you can wager against their NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for ToyotaCare 250 Race
Noah Gragson
This is the 4th full season in the Xfinity Series for Gragson, who has finished progressively better with each passing season. Last year, he made it all the way to the final four, ending up finishing 3rd overall in the driver standings. Gragson has made the sort of start to the new season that suggests he will once again be in the hunt to win his first title. He ended up on the podium in each of the first 4 races of the season, which included a win at Phoenix a couple of weeks ago. He followed that up with a poor showing at Atlanta, before finishing 4th at COTA last week. He won at Richmond last season, so definitely a good bet here.
AJ Allmendinger
Allmendinger is a veteran driver who made the move to the Xfinity Series on a full-time basis last season. It proved to be a very good move, as he went to the final four, finishing 4th overall in the driver standings. He looks set to make another run at the title this season, as he has been in the top 10 in all 6 races this season. That incudes a pair of podium finishes in the last 2 races, including a win at COTA last weekend. That form suggests he will be among the leaders this week, although he did not have a great run at Richmond last season.
Ty Gibbs
To this point in the season, there is only one driver in the Xfinity Series to have picked up multiple wins. That would be Ty Gibbs, who has a pair of victories under his belt. He did not have a great run at the Circuit of the Americas last weekend, finishing 15th, but it is not every driver that takes to a road course in the way in which others do. You do have to think that Gibbs will bounce back this coming weekend, and that he might do better than his 7th place finish at Richmond last season.
Justin Allgaier
In every sport, we see very good athletes have great careers that end without them ever having won a championship. Allgaier is doing all he can to not go that route. He has been arguably the most consistent driver in the Xfinity Series over the last decade without ever winning a championship. He is up among the leaders again in the early going, but he has had a couple of off weeks. He won back-to-back races in Richmond in 2020 and was 4th there last season, so definitely one to watch.
