Last week, we started stepping outside of the Cup Series and the Xfinity Series to see some of the lesser-known events that NASCAR has in place. We are going back to the well again this weekend, as there is once again a lot going on. For this piece, we are covering 4 other series that fall under the NASCAR banner. As you would expect, these looks are not as in depth as the bigger races, but there is still going to be enough there to help you think about wagering. Let’s get into it so you can get ready to bet against the NASCAR Truck Series Odds.
Motor Sports Betting Preview for Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, Whelen Modified Tour & Pinty’s Series Races
Truck Series
It’s a big weekend in the Truck Series, as the playoff field of 10 drivers is now in place. Zane Smith ended up winning the regular season championship, but he will want to carry that momentum into the postseason. This weekend, the drivers will be in Indianapolis for the TSport 200.
Zane Smith and John Hunter Nemechek are in as joint favorites at odds of +400, but Corey Heim (+500) and Chandler Smith (+700) also need to be considered a threat this weekend.
The winner of this one automatically makes the next cut and puts pressure on the rest, so a lot at stake I this race.
ARCA Menard’s Series
This series is actually split into East and West Regions, but for the purposes of this piece, we are looking at the standings as a whole. This weekend’s race, the Reese’s 200, is set to go on Friday night and we have some guys that are certainly going to be seen as the favorites for this one.
Taylor Gray broke into the top 10 after winning last weekend, but he is going to have a tough time making it 2 in a row. Rajah Caruth still leads the pack, while Nick Sanchez is coming off a 2nd place finish last weekend and will be out looking for his 3rd win of the season.
Whelen Modified Tour
This weekend’s event, which is set for Friday night, is known as the Clash at Claremont 150 and will be held at the Claremont Motorsports Park. We have a pair of drivers who are leading the way in wins on the season, with John Bonsignore and Doug Coby both sitting on 2 wins.
Those guys, though, are not at the top of the driver standings. It is Ron Silk, who has 8 top 10 finishes from the 9 races this season, with Jon McKennedy hot on his heels in 2nd place overall. There are just 7 races remaining on the season, so they are all big at this point.
Pinty’s Series
For our final preview of the week, we head north of the border for the Pinty’s Series, which is a Canadian based offshoot of NASCAR. They actually had a doubleheader event on Wednesday night, and we saw a couple of different winners in those races.
Race 1 saw DJ Kennington take the checkered flag, with that result moving him up to 5th in the overall driver standings. In Race 2, it was Alex Tagliani who came away with the win. Marc-Antoine Camirand still leads the way at the top of the Pinty’s Series driver standings.
