Truck Series Championship Favorites: Grant Enfinger, Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski & Corey Heim – NASCAR Odds 2024

This is, without a doubt, the biggest weekend in the entire NASCAR season, as we will see a trio of crowned champions when all is said and done.

As always, the final races of the year will be held in Phoenix, but who will walk away with all the marbles at the end of it all?

1. Grant Enfinger | 4000 points
2. Christian Eckes | 4000 points
3. Ty Majeski | 4000 points
4. Corey Heim | 4000 points

My Truck Series Championship Favorites Analysis

Well, we are going to do our best to cover all 3 races and make some predictions along the way, but for the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on the Truck Series.

After a long, exciting season, we are now down to the final four, with all the pressure very much on the shoulders of the remaining drivers.

Keep in mind that we might see a champion crowned without winning this final race, as it’s all about which of the remaining 4 has the best finish in Phoenix, so let’s take a look at the 4 drivers in the Truck Series Championship Round.

^

Grant Enfinger

This is the 2md straight trip to the Championship Round for Enfinger, who came as close as you can possibly get to winning it all in 2023, settling for 2nd overall.

Last season, he won a lot of races in the early part of the season before struggling to take a checkered flag in the playoffs.

It has been the opposite in 2024, with Enfinger not picking up a win until the postseason, where he has now won twice.

The problem that he has here is that he has never performed particularly well in Phoenix, failing to ever crack the top 5 in 5 different attempts.

That makes Enfinger a bit of a problematic bet, in my opinion.

Christian Eckes

This is the first trip to the final for Eckes, although he did come close last season, falling at the final hurdle and settling for 5th overall.

He punched his ticket into the Championship Round with a win in Martinsville in the previous race on the schedule.

That was his 4th won of the year, so he is certainly deserving of the opportunity to walk away with the title, but will he do it?

I am betting that he will, as he won this race last season and is almost certainly coming in on a high after winning the previous race.

Ty Majeski

This is another driver who has had experience racing in the Championship Round, with Majeski going all the way in 2022 before settling for 4th overall.

The concern that Majeski must have at the moment is that he has not been in particularly great form, failing to crack the top 10 in 3 of the last 4 races.

You also look at his past performances on this Phoenix track, and you don’t really get a good feeling that he can get the job done.

I think he is going to be in trouble again this weekend.

Corey Heim

With 6 wins already this season, Heim is certainly deserving of a spot in the final four.

He has also only been outside of the top 10 once in the last 6 races, so he has been quietly consistent and needs to be seen as a potential winner here.

The problem I have is that Heim has not been particularly convincing in Phoenix.

He made it to the Championship Round last year, but he finished 18th in this race and had to settle for 4th overall.

More of the same this year, I believe.

2023 CRAFTSMAN 150 NASCAR Trucks

NASCAR Truck Series: Love’s RV Stop 250 Round 8 Favorites to Win: This Saturday, we might well see another driver book his spot with the running of the Love’s RV Stop 250, so let’s take a look at the current Truck Series odds. Mybookie Sportsbook Truck Series Odds

It all comes down to this one race in the Truck Series, with one of four drivers set to walk away as the champion after the Craftsman 150 on Friday night. Yes, we are down to the final race of the season in the Truck Series, and it’s all to race for. It is worth remembering that the driver who ends up as the champion does not need to win this race, as finishing ahead of the other 3 drivers who are in with a shot at winning it all is enough to get the job done. The big question now is in regards who will land on top. Let’s take a look at the 4 drivers in with a shot at ending Friday night as the champion, assessing the likelihood that they will do so. The Truck Series odds listed are to win the championship.

When: Friday, November 3 at 10:00 PM EST

Odds to Win NASCAR Trucks Series CRAFTSMAN 150
Corey Heim +148
Carson Hocevar +148
Grant Enfinger +490
Ben Rhodes +620

Corey Heim

After racing part-time in the Truck Series last year, it became clear that Heim would be a threat if he ever decided to race for a full season. That is exactly what he has become this season, as he heads into the Championship Round atop the driver standings. Heim has won 3 races in 2023 and has only finished outside the top 10 in 2 races this season, which is a staggering level of consistency, as well as being the kind of form that very often leads to a championship. Heim did race in Phoenix in the final race last season, finishing 7th in that one. My guess is that he will need a better finish than that to be champion.

Carson Hocevar

If you are looking to wager on a driver that has momentum heading into the final race of the season, then Hocevar might well be the driver to look at here. He has had a fabulous season, winning 4 races to this point, the most recent of which came in the last Truck Series race at Homestead. If there is a bit of a concern with Hocevar, it’s that he has not really excelled on the Phoenix track. He does have a couple of top 10 finishes, but he will likely need to be top 5 or better this week to win it all.

Grant Enfinger

This is the second time in his Truck Series career that Enfinger has been to the final four. The last time was in 2020, with a poor run in Phoenix in the final race killing his championship bid. Enfinger has been a little up and down in the playoffs this season, but he did finish 5th in Phoenix last year. If he can do better than that performance, then these odds may seem like a bit of a bargain. His last playoff win came in the Round of 10.

Ben Rhodes

Rhodes has a championship win and a 2nd overall finish in his last 2 seasons, yet the bookies have him as the longshot in the final four. Is that an oversight, or are they seeing something that should make you concerned about wagering on Rhodes? It may be because he only has 1 win this season, but you also have to consider that he has finished 2nd in each of the last 2 races this season, while also finishing on the podium in the last 2 races in Phoenix. That is more than enough to make me think about putting a few bucks on Rhodes to win it all.
