NASCAR Truck Series 2022 Clean Harbors 150 Betting Favorites and Odds Analysis

It may seem hard to believe, but there are only 3 more races on the Truck Series schedule before the top 10 drivers head into the playoffs. For those sitting below the playoff line, there needs to be a sense of urgency, as the time to make a move and get into the top 10 is beginning to run out. The first of those final 4 races will come this weekend at the Knoxville Raceway in Iowa with the running of the Clean Harbors 150. There are no Cup Series drivers dropping in this weekend, so it’s a chance for the regular Truck Series guys to pick up some valuable points. This race is a late one, with the start scheduled for 9 PM EST on Saturday night. Let’s now take a look at some of the NASCAR Truck Series Betting favorites for the Clean Harbors 150 this weekend.

NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for Clean Harbors 150 Race

John H. Nemechek (+550)

One driver that probably isn’t too concerned about making the cut is Nemechek, who is currently sitting 4th overall in the driver standings. That said, he is on a bit of a cold run at the moment, as he has no gone 5 races without a win, with just a single podium finish coming during that stretch. This is much like the start that he made to the season, when he failed to make any kind of impact through the opening 3 races of 2022. Much like that run, though, you do expect him to come out of it and start winning again. Whether this is the race to make that happen or not remains to be seen, as Nemechek finished 11th in Knoxville last year.

Zane Smith (+600)

Through the opening 8 races of the season, Smith won 3 times and looked very much like the man to beat in the Truck Series. There was a bit of a cooling off period after that, but he is coming off a great run last weekend in Sonoma, where he finished 2nd behind Kyle Busch, who was the overwhelming favorite to win that race. He did not have a great run on this track last year, finishing 14th overall, but he looks set to improve on that run this weekend.

Ben Rhodes (+600)

Winning a championship is always a fantastic achievement, but doing it more than once is difficult. That said, Ben Rhodes is very much looking like a driver ready to deliver a repeat. After 12 races, Rhodes is at the top of the driver standings, albeit with a rather slender 5-point lead. He is not running as well as he did in the early part of the season, but this is the time of year when the big guns tend to round into form. He finished 7th in Knoxville last season, and I think he will do better than that this time around.

Chandler Smith (+650)

In his first full season in the Truck Series, Chandler Smith delivered a solid showing, finishing 8th overall in 2021. The highlight, though, was a pair of wins in the latter stages of the season, including a win in the final race of the year. That momentum appears to have carried over into 2022, as he has 9 top 10 finished through the first 12 races of the season. Smith finished 2nd on this track last year, and I think he might just go one better on Saturday.
