It has been a couple of weeks since the last race in the Truck Series, but the drivers will be back this weekend for a huge race.
They will be hitting the Pocono Raceway for the CRC Brakleen 175, which is the first of the final 3 races of the regular season.

My Analysis
With so few races remaining, the drivers at or near the top of the standings look to be a safe bet to make the playoffs, but the further down the standings you go, the greater the pressure there is on the drivers whose spots are not quite so secure.
It’s going to be a time for all involved, and it’s all going to be fun to watch and wager on.
With that in mind, let’s look at some drivers who could be in the hunt to win this weekend.
^Christian Eckes Truck Series Pick +500
At this stage of the proceedings, I think it’s fair to say that Eckes looks to be a very good bet to finish in the top spot at the end of the regular season.
Whether that translates to success in the playoffs remains to be seen.
He has, though, been incredibly consistent all season long and has only been outside the top 10 in 1 of 13 races this season.
Included in that stretch of form are 3 wins, the most recent of which came in the previous race in Nashville.
He has finished in the top 10 in his last 2 runs on the Pocono track, but I think a top 5 would be a good bet this weekend.

Corey Heim Truck Series Pick +189
The bookies are still of the belief that Heim is the favorite to end the season as the Truck Series champion, and he is certainly living up to the hype, sitting in 2nd overall in the driver standings heading into the home stretch.
Heim is the leader in terms of wins this season, picking up 4 checkered flags through 13 races.
3 of those wins have come in the last 6 races, so he is always a threat to come away with the victory.
He has been in the top 5 in each of the last 2 seasons in Pocono, so I like him to be in the top 3.
^Nicholas Sanchez Truck Series Pick +570
This is just the 2nd full season in the Truck Series for Sanchez, who is looking to improve on his 6th place overall finish in his rookie season.
Things are certainly looking good for him at the moment, and he is on pace to go further this time around.
Sanchez has a couple of wins this season, but he was not particularly good on the Pocono track in his first attempt, barely cracking the top 20 in that one.
I think a top 10 finish this weekend looks to be the most likely scenario.
^Ty Majeski Truck Series Pick +1450
While he is 4th overall at this point, this has not been a particularly impressive season for Majeski, who is still looking for his first win of the year.
He has, though, been in the top 5 in 5 races this season, so it’s not as though he is that far off the pace.
Still, he would like to get that first win before heading into the playoffs, where winning is really rewarded.
Majeski has finished 7th in each of the last 3 runs in Pocono, so expect more of the same.

2023 CRC Brakleen 150
While the Cup and Xfinity Series have a number of races to come before making the playoff cuts, the Truck Series regular season is close to coming to an end. In fact, there are just 2 races remaining before we get down to the 10 drivers with a shot at winning the championship this season. It is incredibly tight down by the cut line, so it is going to be a frantic couple of weeks, with those sitting below the line scrambling to get the points required to move into the top 10. The first of those 2 opportunities come on Saturday afternoon at the Pocono Raceway and the running of the CRC Brakleen 150. This one is set to begin at Noon EST, so let’s look at NASCAR betting odds for the drivers who are likely to be in the hunt.

Corey Heim
NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +255
At just 21 years of age, Heim looks to have a big career ahead of him, but you have to wonder how long he will stay with the Truck Series if he ends up winning the championship this season. There are a lot of races still to come, but right now, Heim has the lead atop the driver standings. He has a couple of wins to his name in 2023, including a victory at Mid-Ohio in the last race. Heim has been in the top 10 in 11 of 13 races to this point in the season, so playing him to win, or at least finish top 5, is never a bad bet. Last year, Heim finished 4th in this race, and I would expect more of the same or better this time around.
Zane Smith
NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +290
Smith started the season on fire, winning 2 of the opening 4 races, but he has yet to take another checkered flag since then. He went through a rough patch recently, but he appears to have snapped out of that, as he comes into this one on the heels of back-to-back 2nd place finishes. Whether he can maintain that form this weekend remains to be seen, though, as he did not have a great run at Pocono last season, finishing outside the top 10 in that one. Recent form suggests a better finish this time around.
Christian Eckes
NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +680
Eckes is another young driver looking to take the next step in what promises to be an exciting career. As it stands at the moment, Eckes finds himself in 3rd spot in the driver standings, with a pair of wins helping to move him up near the top. Besides those wins, he has also had a pair of podium finishes in 2 of his last 3 races, which suggests that he might just be getting hot at the right time. Eckes finished in 8th place in Pocono last season, and I think he might crack the top 5 this weekend.
Grant Enfinger
NASCAR Truck Series Odds: +660
In his 6 years racing with the Truck Series, Enfinger has made it to the final four just once, but he looks to be in good shape to do it again this season, as he heads into the penultimate race of the regular season sitting in 4th overall. He has a pair of wins this year, but he has cooled off just a touch in the last couple of races, finishing outside the top 10 in both. He had a similar finish in Pocono last season, but he is another driver that could be a decent top 5 bet.
