After a weekend that saw a venue split in NASCAR, all three series are back in the same place this weekend. All the drivers will be in Sonoma for races on the road track, which is why it is not surprising that we are seeing Cup Series drivers drop into the other series to get a feel for the track before their big race on Sunday. When that happens, it has a definite impact on the odds, which is what we will see when taking a look at the favorites for the Truck Series DoorDash 250, which will go at 7:30 PM EST on Saturday night. Let’s take a closer look at those favorites along with their NASCAR Truck Series Betting Odds.
NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for DoorDash 250 Race
Kyle Busch (+175)
Busch is having himself a season in the Cup Series, where he is sitting 2nd overall and on a run of 3 straight podium finishes. Whenever he pops into the Truck Series, he more often than not comes away with the win. That has not been the case this season, though, as he is winless in 4 attempts at this level in 2022. He does have a trio of podium finishes in those 4 races, but it might just be that he is not as unbeatable behind the wheel of a truck as he used to be. That said, his current form suggests that he may well get back to winning ways on Saturday night.
Ross Chastain (+550)
It would appear as though great minds think alike, as we have another Cup Series driver popping into the Truck Series this weekend. Chastain is putting together a very decent season and has already won a couple of races in the Cup Series. This will be his 5th visit to the Truck Series this season, and while he had been a little up and down in those runs, he did pick up the win in Charlotte when he last raced with the trucks. He looks to be the main rival for Busch and is available at very decent odds.
John H. Nemechek (+700)
Now that we have the Cup Series drivers out of the way, it’s time to start talking about the regular Truck Series drivers who might be able to upset the apple cart at very good odds. Nemechek started the season slowly, but he quickly got into a groove, not finishing worse than 6th in 7 straight races, a run that also included a win. That run came to an end with a disappointing showing at Gateway last week, where he finished in 35th. Was that run an anomaly or a sign of an upcoming slump?
Zane Smith (+800)
In 2020, Smith won the Rookie of the Year award in the Truck Series after finishing 2nd overall in the standings. He followed that up with another 2nd place finish, with many believing that it is only a matter of time before he picks up his first championship. He is very much in the hunt this season and already has 3 wins to his name. He is winless in 3 races since his last victory, but he finished in the top 10 in 2 of those runs. Might he be ready to get back to winning ways this weekend?
