If you haven’t been paying attention to the NASCAR Truck Series this season, it might be time to start tuning in, as we have a great battle going on at the top of the driver standings. Sure, the goal for every driver is to make it into the playoffs, but their competitive nature means that they also want to finish on top at the end of the regular season, as that certainly helps when trying to make a deep run. Hard to believe as it may seem, there are now just 5 races remaining in the Truck Series regular season, so those down near the cut line need to make a move now. They will get that chance this weekend in St. Louis with the running of the Toyota 200 at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Let’s look the NASCAR betting analysis at some of the race favorites.

Corey Heim
Given how well Heim performed in a limited capacity in the Truck Series last year, many fans were delighted to see him commit to a full-time run at this level. He has certainly made the most of it and comes into this weekend sitting atop the driver standings. While he has just 1 win on the season to this point, Heim has consistently been in the top 10 and picked up points that have helped him move to the top of the standings. There is a solid chance he might get win #2 this weekend when you consider that he won on this track last season.

Ty Majeski
Last season, Majeski hung around and did enough to get into the playoffs, which is where he seemed to round into form, winning 2 races in the postseason on his way to a 4th place overall finish. The feeling was that his last form would carry over into this season, and while he has been good in 2023, he is still looking for his first win of the season. He has been knocking on the door, landing on the podium 4 times already. He had a pretty awful run in this race last season, but I would be more than willing to take him to land in the top 5 this time around.

Zane Smith
The defending Truck Series champion started the season on a tear, winning 2 of the first 4 races and finishing 2nd in another. He has cooled off since then, though, and especially in the past 3 races, where he has failed to even crack the top 20. It’s a bit of a head-scratching run of form for a driver who has been consistently good over the past 3 years, which makes you think that he will be back among the winners sooner rather than later. He finished 9th in this race last season, so might this be his bounce back race?

Grant Enfinger
During his time with the Truck Series, Enfinger has made it to the final four in the playoffs just once, with that coming back in 2020. Over the last 2 seasons, he missed the postseason once and ran 7th overall in the other. The fact that he is in 4th overall right now might well be a sign that he is ready to make another deep run. He does have a previous top 10 run on this track, but he has been off the pace in all his other races in St. Louis, so he feels like a longshot pick this weekend.
