Unless you are a diehard fan of NASCAR, you might not be aware that there are 3 different series running most weekends. The Cup Series gets the majority of the press, but both the Xfinity Series and Truck Series are also well worth your time. Very often, the top drivers in the sport work their way through the series as they look to get into the big time and the Sunday NASCAR races. There are, of course, some guys who are content to stay in the lower levels, but regardless, the quality is there, as is the excitement.
This weekend, we are looking ahead to a big weekend of action in Las Vegas, and for this piece, we are going to stick with the Truck Series and the running of the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200, so let’s look at some potential winners.
Let’s take a look at some of the NASCAR Truck Series betting favorites for the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200, which goes off at 9 PM EST on Friday.

Corey Heim
Last year was the first full season in the Truck Series for Heim, and you have to say that he looked very good indeed. He made it all the way to the final four before coming up just short in the final race of the season, but we saw enough from Heim to believe that he might be among the favorites to win it all this season. If we needed any further proof that he is a serious contender in 2024, you need only look at what he has done through the opening 2 races of the season, landing on the podium in both. He ran top 5 in Las Vegas last season, so a good chance his podium streak stays alive this weekend.

Christian Eckes
2023 was a decent year for Eckes, as he ended up finishing 5th overall after just failing to make it into the Championship Round. His goal this season is probably to do even better than last year, but Eckes is off to a bit of a slow start. A top 10 finish in Daytona was not a terrible start to the new season, but he had a poor run in Atlanta last weekend, so this race is most likely all about getting back on track. Eckes finished 6th in Las Vegas last year, so given his start to the year, a top 10 wager is probably the way to go.

Ben Rhodes
I think it’s more than fair to suggest that Rhodes is the man to beat given that he has won 2 of the last 3 Truck Series Championships, while finishing 2nd in the other one. As good as he has been, it is a little jarring to see the start that he has made to the 2024, with 28th being his best finish over the opening 2 races of the year. While it is certainly not the start he would have been hoping for, his past performances suggest that this is little more than a minor blip on the radar. Rhodes landed on the podium in Vagas last year, so look for his 2024 season to get really started this weekend.

Ty Majeski
Majeski’s best season, which was a 4th place finish in 2022, is now very much in the rearview. He followed up that showing with a disappointing 8th place finish overall last year, so he will be looking to get back to the form that made him a potential champion. Majeski landed outside the top 10 in the opening race of the year, but he moved into a higher gear in Atlanta last weekend, finishing 2nd and landing on the podium. Can he build on that performance this weekend? All signs would appear to point to this being another good showing, as Majeski finished in the top 5 in each of his last 2 Las Vegas runs, so that is probably how I would play him.

Grant Enfinger
After a less than stellar couple of seasons, Enfinger seemed to find his way back to form in 2023, coming up just short and finishing 2nd overall. The bookies like him to be among the potential winners this season, but he is going to need to be a whole lot better than he has been over the opening 2 weeks of the season, where he failed to crack the top 10 in both races. While his early form has to be seen as problematic for bettors, Enfinger did finish in the top 10 in Las Vegas in 2023. He may end up making me a liar, but I think top 10 is the best we can hope for from Enfinger this weekend.

Nicholas Sanchez
One of the biggest surprises in the early part of the 2024 Truck Series season was Sanchez coming out in the opening weekend and winning in Daytona. While he finished 8th overall last season, he did not win a single race in his first full season, so even though he had a very solid first year, I don’t think too many of is had him taking the checkered flag in the first race of the new year. He followed that up with a top 5 finish in Atlanta last weekend, so there is every reason to believe that he might well be in the hunt in Las Vegas, even though he did not have a particularly good run in Sin City last season.

Layne Riggs
Riggs has been in and out of the Truck Series over the past few years, but he is finally committed to a full season at this level. While we don’t have very much to go on in terms of past performances, the bookies seem to believe that Riggs will be in the championship mix this season. He only raced twice in the Truck Series last season, but he did have a podium finish in one of those races. It has not been a great start to the year for Riggs as he looks to settle into full-time racing life, so I would probably be looking elsewhere when placing wagers on the winner of this race.

NASCAR Truck Series: 2023 Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200 Odds, Analysis & Prediction
Previous Betting News
After a week off, the Truck Series returns this weekend for the Victoria’s Voice 200, which will be held in Las Vegas. With just one race in the books this season, it’s tough to get a feel for how drivers might perform in this race. It also doesn’t help that we have a star from the Cup Series dropping in for this one. We have a definite favorite this weekend, so this might be when you start looking at potential top 5 finishers to wager on if you are not that keen on playing the chalk. Upsets can happen, though, so you might be tempted to go with an established Truck Series driver when making your picks.
Let’s take a look at some of the NASCAR Truck Series betting favorites for the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200, which goes off at 9 PM EST on Friday.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200
Kyle Busch (+150)
It’s always very tempting to wager on Cup Series drivers when they drop in and race the trucks, but is it a smart move? Over the course of the last 5 seasons, Busch has raced in the Truck Series 25 times and won 13 of those races. He only missed being on the podium twice, so it certainly seems as though he is a solid pick. That said, he only had 1 win in 5 attempts in the Truck Series last year, so he is perhaps not an absolute slam dunk. He has won 3 of his last 5 runs in Las Vegas, but he finished 2nd in the last 2.
Zane Smith (+500)
The defending Cup Series champion made it clear that he is not about to give up his title without a fight, winning the opening race of the season in Daytona for the 2nd straight season. This is a driver who has been no worse than 2nd overall in his last 3 years at this level. But you do have to say that Las Vegas has not been his favorite spot. He has failed to crack the top 5 in each of his 3 runs in this race, but given the start he is off to, it might not be a bad idea to play him to finish in the top 5 on Friday night.
Ross Chastain (+700)
Yet another Cup Series driver dropping in to get a run in the trucks and prepare for the Sunday race. While Busch has been dominant at this level, you cannot say the same for Chastain. In his last 18 runs in the Truck Series, Chastain has managed just 1 win, so while he might be considered a better driver than most in this series, he has not translated that into wins when getting behind the wheel of a truck. Still, he cannot be completely counted out.
Corey Heim (+850)
Racing part-time in the Truck Series last year, Heim still managed to finishing 14th overall, winning a pair of races along the way. He finished up the season by racing in each of the final 10 races on the schedule, but he was unable to get back to the #1 spot on the podium coming down the stretch. There are a lot of fans who like him to make a deep playoff run this season and he did open things up with a top 10 finish in Daytona. Top 5 possibility here.
