NASCAR Truck Series Odds: Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation Betting Analysis

Once the NASCAR playoffs begin, there are a couple of ways for drivers to stay alive all the way to the final race of the season. The most obvious way is to stay above the cut lien every time the field is reduced, but the most effective way to move on is to win. That is what Grant Enfinger did in the opening race of the Truck Series playoffs, winning his first race of the season and stamping his ticket into the next round. There are 2 more races to come in the Round of 10 before the field is cut to 8, with Christian Eckes and Matt Crafton the 2 drivers in danger of getting the boot of they cannot get above the line. The Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation is set to go this Saturday at 8 PM EST at the Richmond Raceway, but who can we expect to be among the NASCAR Truck Series Betting favorites?

NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for Worldwide Express 250 at Richmond Race

Grant Enfinger

No matter the sport, people will always tell you that all you need to do is get into the playoffs to give yourself a chance to win. If that is indeed the case, then Enfinger has put himself in the pole position with a win in the opening race of the Truck Series Playoffs. It was the first win of the season for Enfinger and proves that getting in is all that matters, as a good run of form right now might well mean making a run at the championship. Enfinger had a win at the Richmond track in 2020, so might we be looking at back-to-back victories?

Chandler Smith

Smith announced his arrival in the Truck Series last season during the playoffs, winning a couple of races coming down the stretch. He has carried that momentum over into this season with a pair of wins already under his belt. Whether that translates to another run in the postseason remains to be seen, as he did not perform particularly well in the first race in the Round of 10. Smith ran 4th on the Richmond track last season, so there is reason to believe he might get his playoff run going with a win this weekend.

Zane Smith

It has been a very good season for Zane Smith, but there must be some concern with the fact that he has not won a race since taking the checkered flag in Kansas in the 8th race of the season. That means that Smith has now gone 9 races without a win, but before we all hit the panic button, it is worth noting that he landed on the podium in 5 of those 9 races. This is not a track where he has performed particularly well, but it does feel as though Smith is long overdue for a win.

Ben Rhodes

Rhodes has some work to do if he is going to repeat as the Truck Series champion this season, but he is very much in the hunt. While he only has a single win in the regular season, he has been among the leaders enough times to have himself in the top 4 and safe for the upcoming cut. He is also coming off a 2nd place finish in the first playoff race of the season and had a 2nd place run in Richmond in 2020. Keep an eye on Rhodes this weekend.
