MyBookie Sportsbook | 2024 Xfinity Series Odds Race at Talladega Superspeedway

We have a good battle going at the top of the driver standings, but as we have seen in the past, things can change dramatically from race to race. We will get into some of the individual drivers and their performances in a moment, but we have already seen some changes at the top when looking at Week 1 to now. It is hard to consistently win in NASCAR, which is perfectly fine, as the regular season is all about picking up points and making sure you do enough to stay above the cut line and get to the playoffs. We may well see some more changes this weekend with the running of the Ag-Pro 300 in Talladega, which is set to go off at 4 PM EST on Saturday. Let’s now look at some of the favorites to win.

Xfinity Series Ag-Pro 300 Odds to Win

  • Austin Hill +142
  • AJ Allmendinger +330
  • Jesse Love +410
  • Sheldon Creed +410

Austin Hill

We have a very clear favorite for this race, but it’s one that I am not totally convinced of. Austin Hill saw his season get off to an amazing start, winning each of the first 2 races on the 2024 schedule. He has not won since, though, although he has been in the top 10 in 5 of the last 6 races. The question here is whether he can get back to winning ways this weekend, which is where my doubts start to creep in. Talladega has not been particularly kind to Hill, as he has failed to crack the top 10 in each of his last 3 races on this track. He may well prove me wrong, but I think a top 10 finish is the safest bet.

AJ Allmendinger

You cannot argue the fact that Allmendinger has had a fantastic career in NASCAR, but the reality of professional sports is that time is always the winner. While I still believe that Allmendinger has some gas left in the tank, he has not really been at his best to this point in the season. He does not have a win yet, but he has been in the top 10 in 4 of the 8 races this season. He is also coming off his best race of the season, which was a 4th place finish last weekend. The last time he raced at Talladega in the Xfinity Series was a couple of years back, and he won that race, so perhaps this will be his breakout weekend.

Jesse Love

Making it to the top of the heap in NASCAR can be a long process, and it is probably fair to suggest that Love has some ways to go to get to that point. 2024 is his first full season in the Xfinity Series, which got off to a rough start in the first couple of races. He has since settled in nicely and is now on a run of 5 straight races where he has landed in the top 10. He is still something of an unknown entity, but a top 10 finish here seems like a safe play.

Sheldon Creed

After winning a championship in the Truck Series, making the move to the Xfinity Series was the next logical step for Creed. He has been getting better with each passing season, and after a 7th place overall finish in 2023, the expectations were high for him this year. He has yet to show his best to this point, but he did finish 2nd in this race last season, so might this be the week where he gets hist first Xfinity Series win?

2023 Ag-Pro 300 Odds

Winning a championship is never easy, as it requires a level of consistency that is very difficult to maintain. Right now, there are a trio of drivers out in front in the Xfinity Series, with those drivers accounting for 6 wins in the 8 races run to this point. It’s a positive start for all 3 of those men, but they will all know that championships are not won in the early months of the season. There are a lot of other drivers who could still come good and make a move up the standings, starting this weekend in Talladega with the running of the Ag-Pro 300. We have a very definite favorite for this race, but let’s look at a few drivers who might be in the mix. Let’s take a look the NASCAR betting analysis at some of the favorites.

When: Saturday, April 22 at 4:00 pm ET
Where: Talladega Superspeedway
TV / Streaming: FS1
Radio: MRN, SiriusXM

Austin Hill

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +360

In his first full season with the Xfinity Series, Hill managed to finish 6th overall, which is really not a bad start at all. That experience seems to have served him well, as he is off to a flying start this season, winning 3 races already. As good as he has been, the last couple of weeks have been a bit of a struggle, so he will be looking to get back to form at Talladega this weekend. He had a pair of runs on this track last season, failing to crack the top 10 in either of those races, but his form suggests that he might be able to put those runs behind him.

John H. Nemechek

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +1125

Given that Nemechek is sitting atop the driver standings right now, you have to say that these odds to win are more than a little tempting. He has a win and a pair of 2nd place finishes to his name this season and is coming off a very solid run last weekend, where he came up just short. You have to go back to 2019 to find the last time he raced at Talladega in the Xfinity Series, when he ran 6th. He is a better driver now than he was then, so you have to assume that he is a legit challenger this weekend.

Josh Berry

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +1225

Berry had a breakout season in 2022, making it to the final four in the playoffs, only to finish 4th overall in the standings. After a slow start in Daytona this season, he has settled into a groove and is now on a run that has seen him finish in the top 10 in 7 straight races. He is still looking for that elusive first win of the season, but those points are piling up as he finds a way to stay near the lead in every race. His last run at Talladega saw him finish 5th, so while winning might be a bit of a longshot, landing in the top 5 seems like a good bet.

Justin Allgaier

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +1475

While he has never won an Xfinity Series Championship, Allgaier has consistently finished close to the top for 12 straight seasons. He is arguably the one driver that the majority of fans would love to see get the job done. Allgaier doesn’t win a ton of races, but he is usually good for 2 or 3 per season. That he has yet to win this year suggests that he might be due. He has not been great at Talladega of late, though, so maybe go for a top 5 finish.
