A lot can happen between now and the end of the season, but Nemechek looks to be in very good shape, as he is sitting atop the driver standings right now, albeit with a slender 16-point lead. He has won a pair of races this season, and while it has been a minute since his last win, he has had some podium finishes in there, including a 2nd place run last weekend. He has to be considered a threat this weekend.

Cole Custer

NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +400

If you like putting money on the hot hand, then you might want to take a look at Cole Custer this weekend. He won the previous race, which was the Chicago Street event, which means that he has now won 2 of the last 4 races in the Xfinity Series. That run of form has vaulted him up the standings, where he is currently sitting in 3rd overall. The question now is whether he can maintain that form, and when you consider that he was 2nd in his last run on the Atlanta track, you have to say that he has a real chance of extending his win streak.

In his first full season with the Xfinity Series in 2022, Hill won a couple of races early before going on a poor run of form. He did, though, close out the season strong, doing enough to finish 6th overall in the standings. Expectations were high for him heading into his 2nd full season and he is living up to the hype, with 3 wins already under his belt this season. Hill has been in the top 5 in 6 of the last 7 races, plus he won this corresponding race last year, so I think I’ll be playing him to win this weekend.

Another season and another run at a championship, which has eluded him to this point, for Allgaier. He is currently sitting in 4th, and while he has just 1 win this season, Allgaier has done his usual job of seemingly always being in the hunt in the majority of races. He has 9 top 5 finishes this season, which includes a 2nd place run in Chicago last weekend. He won in Atlanta a couple of years back, so he might be a good bet at these odds.
