The end of the regular season in the Xfinity Series is now very much in sight, with just 8 races remaining before the field is cut to 12 drivers.
That is still plenty of time for the standings to change, but for the guys sitting down near the cut line, the pressure is beginning to mount.

My NASCAR Xfinity Series Analysis
We are heading into the final few weeks of the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season, with the battle for playoff spots probably set to go all the way down to the wire.
While we are in the homestretch of the regular season, there is still time for drivers below the cut line to make a late charge, as there are still 8 races to come.
This weekend, the Xfinity Series will be in Indianapolis for the next race on the schedule, which is the Pennzoil 250.
This is going to be something a little different given that the last few years have been on the road course, but this one will be on the more traditional NASCAR track.
The bookies have their ideas as to who might win, so let’s look at the current Xfinity Series odds for this race.
^Austin Hill Xfinity Series Pick +275
It has been a strange kind of season for Hill, who very much looked like the man to beat right out of the gate.
He won the opening 2 races of the season, but he has yet to win another one since that hot start.
While he hasn’t won for a while, Hill has very much been in the mix, finishing in the top 5 no less than 8 times this season.
He is currently on a run of 2 straight races finishing in the top 10, but you have to go back a bit to find the last time he cracked the top 3.
It has been 8 races since he last cracked the top 3, so I’m not totally sold on him here.
^Jesse Love Xfinity Series Pick +780
This is the first full season in the Xfinity Series for Love, and as you might expect, he has had some highs and lows.
It took him some time to get going, but once he did, Love got on a hot streak, finishing in the top 10 in 6 straight races, including picking up his first career win at this level at Talladega.
He has struggled to reach that same level of consistency since, but he has been decent of late, landing in the top 5 in 2 of the last 3 races.
It’s tough to know what he will do on this track, but I might be willing to risk a top 5 finish.
^Cole Custer Xfinity Series Pick +680
Custer came into this season as the defending Xfinity Series champion, and while he has been at or near the top of the standings all season long, he finally picked up his first win of the year last weekend at Pocono.
The advantage that Custer might have in this race is that he has had a run on this track during his time with the Cup Series.
He finished 5th in that race, so you figure that experience might well translate to another win this weekend.
I would be more than willing to play him to win at these odds.
^Justin Allgaier Xfinity Series Pick +660
Allgaier is always a good pick to finish up among the leaders in any given race, but he is not such a great pick when it comes to betting on an outright winner.
Justin is sitting second overall in the driver standings, but he only has 1 win this season.
He did go on a hot run around this time last year, winning 3 races late in the season, but I still think the safer bet is to take him to finish in the top 3.

2023 Pennzoil 150
Over the past few years, NASCAR has done a nice job of mixing things up, sprinkling in races that are a change from the traditional oval track that we are all so accustomed to. We now have a dirt race and a few road races to look forward to on the schedule, which is what we have this weekend in Indianapolis. The upcoming Pennzoil 150 in the Xfinity Series will be run on the Indy Road course, which will present a fresh challenge for the drivers taking part. This may well be a chance for a driver sitting below the playoff cut line to get a win that moves them into the postseason picture. This should be a fun one to watch and wager on, so let’s take a look at some of the favorites for the Pennzoil 150 to consider in your Xfinity Series betting odds.

AJ Allmendinger
NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +133
After a couple of full seasons with Xfinity, Allmendinger moved back to the Cup Series for the 2023 season. He will be dropping back down this weekend as he looks to get some practice in on the road course. This will be the 5th time that he has raced in the Xfinity Series this season, and with 2 wins in his previous 4, it’s fair to say that he is a deserving favorite for this race. Further making Allmendinger a serious contender to win is the fact that 4 of his 5 wins last season came on road courses, including a victory in this race. It’s more than fair to suggest that he is the man to beat.
Ty Gibbs
NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +450
We have another Cup Series driver dropping in this weekend, with Gibbs coming back to the Xfinity Series for a visit after ending last season as the champion. Gibbs had 7 wins in his championship winning season, but only one of those was on a road course. Still, his expertise at this level has to be taken into consideration, and you do have to wonder if it he will he and Allmendinger battling it out for the checkered flag in Indianapolis. Gibbs finished 8th in this corresponding race in 2022, but I expect better this time around.
Cole Custer
NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +740
While Custer is having a solid season and is currently sitting 3rd overall in the driver standings, he is on a run of form that makes him a risky bet this weekend. Custer does have a pair of wins this season, but he is also on a 4-race run where his best finish was 16th. With that in mind, you might wonder why he is in among the favorites. The answer to that one is simple as both of his wins this season have come on road courses. With a pair of Cup Series drivers running here, taking Custer to win might not be the best idea, but a top 5 finish might be just fine.
Justin Allgaier
NASCAR Xfinity Odds: +830
Allgaier is another driver that has not been at his best over the last month or so. We are so used to seeing him up among the leaders in every race that it is a little jarring when he goes through a bit of a rough patch. Overall, he has been a little off the pace this season, winning just once, but he has done enough in terms of top 5 and 10 finishes that he is still high up in the driver standings. Allgaier landed on the podium in this race in 2022, so perhaps a top 5 bet might be the way to go.
