Weekend NCAAB SU Picks That Will Put Money in Your Pocket

#5 Baylor Bears at Oklahoma Sooners

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 22

Even though Baylor has lost 2-of-3, the Bears remain a top five ranked squad. The reason? Opponents average a terrible 60.3 points against Baylor while the Bears average almost 80 on the offensive end.

The Bears should offer odds in this, which is why Oklahoma is a good team to back on the moneyline. The Sooners have lost 3 straight. On Jan. 18, though, they hung with Kansas in a 67-64 loss. It’s difficult to know if Baylor has gotten over their issues, which is another reason to back Oklahoma on the moneyline.

NCAAB SU Pick: Oklahoma Sooners

#7 Kansas Jayhawks at Kansas State Wildcats

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 22

On Jan. 8, Texas Tech beat Kansas 75-67. Since then, Kansas has run off 3 straight victories: 62-61 over Iowa State, 85-59 against West Virginia, and 67-64 versus Oklahoma.

But on Saturday, Rock Chalk faces one of their biggest rivals. Although 10-7, Kansas State is a decent basketball team. The Wildcats have put things together with two straight wins over quality opponents Texas Tech and Texas. Making it a third straight victory over a ranked team is not out of the question.

NCAAB SU Pick: Kansas State Wildcats

#13 LSU Tigers at #24 Tennessee Volunteers

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 22

In one of the few college basketball games between ranked opponents on Saturday, the Volunteers host the Tigers in Tennessee. Both teams have played great basketball this season.

The difference between the two is that LSU heads into this off 2 straight losses, 58-65 against Arkansas and 67-70 versus Alabama. It’s difficult seeing the Tigers dropping 3 straight, which means LSU gets the much needed road victory.

NCAAB SU Pick: LSU Tigers

#16 USC Trojans at Utah Utes

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 22

It’s difficult to back an 8-10 squad like Utah versus one of the best teams in the Pac-12, but USC might be on a downturn.

10-5 Stanford beat USC 75-69 on Jan. 11. Then USC fell 69-79 to Oregon on Jan. 15. The Trojans could have trouble dealing with 7’0” center Branden Carlson. It makes sense to back a home team that’s almost guaranteed to offer overlay moneyline odds.

NCAAB SU Pick: Utah Utes

#59 UCLA Bruins at Colorado Buffaloes

  • When: Saturday, Jan. 22

When UCLA is on, they’re difficult to beat. When they’re not, they play like an NIT squad. Gonzaga blasted UCLA 83-63 earlier in the season.

On Jan. 11, Oregon beat UCLA in overtime. This Saturday, the Bruins face a quality Pac-12 foe on the road that allows 66.1 points per and has a player in Jabari Walker who can take over. Colorado can makes a statement with a big time win.

NCAAB SU Pick: Colorado Buffaloes

#20 Xavier Musketeers at Marquette Golden Eagles

  • When: Sunday, Jan. 23

Marquette upset Villanova on Jan. 19, which means there’s a huge chance the Golden Eagles are a moneyline underlay in this. Xavier isn’t a lock by any means.

But the Golden Eagles have been on a roll. The roll should end soon. Why not end versus one of the better teams in the Big East? Xavier has won 3-of-5. The only 2 losses were against Nova. Musketeers takes this SU.

NCAAB SU Pick: Xavier Musketeers
