Two struggling franchises step onto the turf at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday in a “salvage the season” game. When the Rams and Saints battle, the winner has the potential to salvage the season. The loser might has well pack it up and plan for the NFL Draft in April. Will New Orleans protect their home field? Or will the Rams show they still have what it takes to win a football game? Why bet on Rams versus Saints?
Even though the Rams offense hasn’t lived up to its potential, the defense, for the most part, has played well. Don’t let the score fool you. The Rams’ D often breaks down in the fourth-quarter because the defense spends so much time on the field.
However, a closer look reveals the Rams haven’t had success versus teams with good offenses. The Saints’ offense has struggled in their last few games, which means we should see the real Rams D on Sunday.

Why bet on Saints versus Rams?
The Saints haven’t played great but for the first time in the last couple of weeks New Orleans offensive line should be relatively healthy. There’s nothing coach Dennis Allen can do about the fact center Erick McCoy is on IR.
But Trevor Penning, the Saints first round draft pick tackle, should make his NFL debut this weekend. Penning will help open holes for Alvin Kamara and keep quarterback Andy Dalton upright. If New Orleans’ O-line plays well, the Saints should take this by more than the spread line.

Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints Final Betting Prediction
On paper, this game is a toss-up but after some thought, New Orleans has no business not covering the spread.
The Rams have a big issue in this game. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp is out. Matthew Stafford’s favorite target won’t return to the field until late December.
The problem with Kupp’s absence is that he isn’t just Staff’s favorite wideout. He’s also the Rams’ only real offensive weapon. Without Kupp, Stafford must rely on Allen Robinson II, Ben Skowronek, and Van Jefferson.
In any other situation, Stafford might be okay. But the Rams offensive line allows 3.4 sacks on average per game. Only the Bengals, Colts, and Bears allow more and that’s by a paltry .2 sacks each contest.
New Orleans has struggled in their last couple of games but on their own field, the Saints should pick it up. Expect the Saints to get out of their doldrums with a nice win and cover.
