We have a double dose of ONE Championship events coming over the next couple of days, but for the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on ONE Championship 162, which is set to go at 7 AM EST on Friday morning. You can actually catch this event on YouTube, and it should be a great set of fights. As is generally the case with ONE, we will have a mix of MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing on the 6-fight main car, with a title bout serving as the headliner for this one. Let’s take a closer look and make some predictions for ONE Championship 162 so you can bet against the ONE Championship Odds.
MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship 162: Zhang Vs Di Bella Event
Jimmy Vienot Vs Niclas Larsen
We get the evening started with a Muay Thai bout in the Lightweight division. Vienot has bounced around different fighting styles, taking in his first Muay Thai fight last time out, with that one ending in a loss. It is much the same story for Larsen, who lost his first Muay Thai fight after spending his time as a pro in kickboxing. Coin flip here, but I am taking Larsen.
Gustavo Balart Vs Alex Silva
Next up on the main card is a Flyweight MMA bout that promises to deliver some excitement. Balart went off the rails a little with a 3-fight losing skid, but he pulled himself out of that and has a 2-fight win streak going. Silva is 12-7 overall and has been a little unpredictable, going 3-2 in his last 5 fights. I like Silva to take this one by submission.
Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong Vs Mohammed Boutasaa
For the next fight, we move into kickboxing territory for what should be a great bout. Sitsongpeening is coming off a loss that snapped a 3-fight win streak, so he will be looking for a bounce back performance. He will have his hands full with Boutasaa, who is off to a perfect 4-0 start as a pro. I think Boutasa might keep that streak alive with a decision win.
Reece McLaren Vs Windson Ramos
It’s back to MMA for the next bout, which features a pair of talented Bantamweights. McLaren comes into this one with a15-8 record and has delivered 3 wins in his last 5 fights. Ramos started life as a pro with a loss, but he has since reeled off 5 straight wins. I think this one will go the distance, with McLaren getting the decision.
Nieky Holzken Vs Islam Murtazaev
We close out the evening with back-to-back kickboxing bouts, starting with this one, which serves as the co-main event. Holzken has fought in several different fight mediums, but he is 3-2 in his last 5 kickboxing events. Murtazaev is new to life as a pro and has struggled, losing both kickboxing bouts. I think its more of the same here.
Peimian Zhang Vs John Di Bella
The headline event of the night is for the vacant One Championship Flyweight Title. Zhang has just 2 pro kickboxing fights to his name. but he came away the winner in both. Di Bella is also unbeaten, but both of those wins came in boxing matches. That makes this one tough to call, but I think I am siding with Zhang here.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
