One of the great things about following several different MMA organizations is that you get to see all manner of different events spread over different days. The ONE Championship has another event coming up in the early hours of Friday morning, with a few different styles set to be on show. With the main card, we have MMA fights, as well as a couple of kickboxing bouts, so we get a little bit of something for everyone. This one starts at 8:30 AM on Friday, so let’s dive into the main card to make some ONE Championship Betting predictions.
MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship: Lights Out
Josh Tonna Vs Peimian Zhang
The main event starts with the first of two kickboxing cards, with this one in the Flyweight division. Tonna has 3 kickboxing bouts in his pro career, going 1-2 in those fights. This will be the first pro fight for Zhang, so nothing really to go on here. Based solely on experience, I have to take Tonna to come out and get the win.
Alex Silva Vs Adrian Mattheis
The next bout switches to MMA for a Flyweight bout between a pair of very good fighters. Silva comes into this bout with an 11-6-0 record and straight wins ahead of this fight. Mattheis is coming off a loss, but he had won 4 in a row prior to that defeat. This looks like a good matchup, but I have Silva taking it by submission.
Ismael Londt Vs Iraj Azizpour
The big boys are up next for what should be a bruising Heavyweight kickboxing bout. Londt will be making his first appearance under the ONE banner and comes in on the heels of back-to-back wins. Azizpour has just 1 pro fight, which was a win over Anderson Silva with ONE. I like Azizpour to get the win in this one.
Martin Nguyen Vs Kiril Gorobets
It’s back to MMA action for a Lightweight bout featuring fighters in very different runs of form at the moment. Nguyen is 13-5, but he has been struggling of late, losing 2 in a row and 3 of his last 5. Gorobets make the move to ONE Championship after winning 9 in a row to take his record to 11-1. A tougher task for Gorobets, but I like him to get the decision.
Bibiano Fernandes Vs John Lineker
The co-main event of the night is the first of the 2 title fights on the main card, with this one for the Featherweight belt. Fernandes comes in as the champion, boasting a 24-4 record and a run that has seen him win 4 of his last 5. Lineker is 34-9 overall and has racked up wins in each of his last 3 fights. I think it’s his time to take the next big step in his career.
Thanh Le Vs Garry Tonon
We close out the night with another title fight, with this one for the Lightweight belt. Le comes in as the defending champion and brings with him a 4-fight win streak and a 12-2 record. Tonon is a perfect 6-0 in his career and is going to be a tough out for the champ. In fact, I think it will be Tonon who walks out as the new champ with a submission win.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
