If you are looking for a little bit of variety in your MMA viewing and wagering, then look no further than ONE Championship 159. There are 6 fights on the main card in this one, with the bouts a mixture of MMA, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. There are also a pair of title fights at the top of the card, so definitely a little something for everyone. The good news is that you can catch all of the action on YouTube, but it will mean getting out of bed early, as this event starts at 6:30 AM EST on Friday. Let’s take a close look at all 6 fights on the main card so you can get ready to make your bets against their ONE Championship Odds.
MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship 159: De Ridder Vs Bigdash Event
Zhaxi Zelang Vs Danial Williams
The main card opens up with an MMA bout in the Flyweight division. Zelang has put together a very respectable 16-6-1 record and comes in with 4 wins in his last 5 fights. Williams saw his pro career get off to a 1-1 start, but he has steadied the ship and is currently on a 4-fight win streak. I think he extends that run to 5 with a win in this one.
Peimian Zhang Vs Aslanbek Zikreev
We mix things up with the second fight of the night, which is a Flyweight kickboxing bout. Zhang has just one pro fight, but it was a solid win under the ONE Championship banner. Zikreev also got the win in his lone fight as a pro, but it was a split decision. Not a lot to go on with this one, but I am leaning toward Zhang.
Muangthai PK Saenchai Vs Vladimir Kuzmin
As mentioned earlier, this is a mixed card, and what we have here is the lone Muay Thai fight of the night. Saenchai started out life as a pro with 2 straight wins, but he comes into this one on the heels of an opening round loss. Kuzmin is a perfect 3-0, but those were all kickboxing bouts. Still, I think he is good enough to transition and get the win.
Bokang Masunyane Vs Hiroba Minowa
It’s back to MMA for this bout, which is in the Flyweight division. Masunyane will be looking to bounce back after taking the first loss of his career last time out and dropping to 8-1 overall. Minowa is also looking to recover from a loss in his last fight, a defeat that took him to 13-3 overall. This should be a good one, but I have Masunyane by decision.
Janet Todd Vs Lara Fernandez
The first of the 2 title fights of the night is for the Strawweight Kickboxing Championship. Todd is the defending champion, and while she has won 6 in a row, those victories have been split between kickboxing and Muay Thai. Fernandez has one fight as a pro, which she lost via split decision, so I don’t see her taking out the champ.
Reinier de Ridder Vs Vitaly Bigdash
A pair of Light Heavyweights will step into the octagon for the final fight of the night, and one will walk away with the title. De Ridder is the current champion and comes into this bout sporting a perfect 15-0 record. Bigdash hit a bump in the road with back-to-back losses, but he has bounced back with 3 wins in a row to go 12-2 overall. I like the champ to win by submission and keep the belt.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
