2022 PFL Challenger Series Week 7 Betting Analysis and Picks

The men and women who regularly fight with the UFC are considered the very best in the MMA business. Each and every one of them, though, had to start at the bottom and work their way up, which is where the Professional Fighters League (PFL) comes into play. Besides the main league, we also have the Challenger Series, which is open to amateur fighters looking to make it into the PFL proper. This Friday at 9 PM EST, we will have Week 7 of the Challenger Series, which will deliver 5 fights on the card. Let’s take a closer look at each fight for PFL Week 7 so you can make your bets against their PFL Odds.

MMA Betting Preview for Professional Fighter’s League Week 7

Jaylon McDaniel Vs Daeri Alderman

The opening fight of the night is a Featherweight bout between a pair of fighters with very similar amateur careers. McDaniel is 3-0 at this level, winning his first two by decision before getting the Round 1 win last time out. Oddly enough, Alderman has won his 3 amateur fights in exactly the same way. I think this one goes all the way, with McDaniel getting the decision.

Santino Zurita Vs Rakim Talley

We have a Heavyweight bout up next and a tough one to call given the respective experience of each fighter. Zurita has only had 1 amateur fight, which he won by split decision. There is a good deal more to go on with Talley, who is looking to bounce back after taking a loss to fall to 9-2 as an amateur. I think the experience works for Talley, who I like by KO.

Alexei Pergande Vs Joe Hamm

We have what looks to be a very good Lightweight bout coming up next. Pergande has won each of his first 4 amateur fights to this point and has yet to go beyond the second round. Hamm has won 6 of 7, and much like Pergande, he rarely has to go the distance. A really good matchup here, but I like Pergande to get the decision.

Christian Turner Vs Chayanne Serrano

The penultimate fight of the night sees a pair of very good up and coming Lightweight fighters going head-to-head. Turner has looked very good through his first 4 amateur fights, winning all 4 and finishing 3 early on. Serrano has gone 6-1 as an amateur and did a nice job of bouncing back after his first loss. Turner appears to be the more dangerous of the two, which is why I like him for the KO win.

Andrija Stankovic Vs Louis Brewington

We end the night with a Welterweight bout that is going to be ridiculously tough to call. The biggest issue is that this is the first fight for Stankovic, so who knows what to expect out of him. Brewington is 7-5 as an amateur, but he is coming into this one on the heels of 4 straight wins. I think you need to go with experience and take Brewington to win, but who really knows?

I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
