After a month of exciting football and great drama, we are down to the final two teams at the European Championship in Germany.
The two teams that have survived the gauntlet are Spain and England, who will meet on Sunday afternoon.
My Analysis
It has been a very different road to the final for these two teams, with Spain seemingly in cruise control from start to finish, while England got there by the skin of their teeth after some great escape acts.
We all probably have an opinion on who we think will end the tournament as the champions of Europe, but as is the case with most major sports finals, there is more to wager on than just the final outcome.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some prop bets that might be available for the 2024 European Championship Final at MyBookie Sportsbook.
^Regular Time, Extra Time, or Penalty Shootout
If you look at the odds for the game, you will see that there is a draw option on the board.
If you are wondering why that is there for a final where we need to have a winner, soccer is a little different in that game bets are often for the 90-minute game.
You might well pick the winner, but if they win it in extra time or via the penalty shootout, your bet might still be considered a loss.
If you like a team to win in regular time, take that bet, but if you think it won’t be decided in 90 minutes, go with the extra time or penalty shootout option.
^Goal Props
There are several different props that are usually available when it comes to goals scored within the game.
There are a couple that are very common, starting with figuring out which team will score first. If you are looking to play it somewhat safe, this is a good prop to go with, as it is a 50/50 bet.
Spain have scored a lot and have made a habit of scoring first, while England have frequently had to come from behind.
Once you figure out which team will nab the first goal, the next prop available is to select the scorer of the first goal.
Individual player stats are always fun, but with 20 outfield players to choose from, this is a riskier prop, but you can narrow it down a little by deciding on which team will grab the opening goal.
^In-Game Props
Finally, there are going to be all kinds of prop bets based on what happens within the game.
Before we get to these, keep in mind that live in-game betting might also be available, allowing you to bet a little more wisely based on the flow of the game.
Some of the more common prop bets found in soccer include things like total corners, shots on goal, and other offensive stats.
Heading back to individual player wagers, you might also be able to wager on whether a specific player will receive a yellow or red card, and how many cards will be shown in the game.
One thing to consider here is the referee, as you can look back at their previous games in the tournament to see if they are lenient or prone to flashing cards.
We hope you can find some prop bets you like for the big game and that you make some extra money with them.
