It has been another frantic week in the world of club football, with another round of European action nestled between a couple of domestic league weekends.
The majority of players will get a break after this weekend, as we are about to head into the next round of games in international football, with the Nations League about to close out the group stage.
My English Premier League Matchday 11 Analysis
Before we get to that, though, we have Matchday 11 in the English Premier League to look forward to, and there are some fantastic games coming our way.
Slotting into the history books 😉

We have picked out 4 games that we really like this weekend, so let’s take a closer look and make some predictions as we go.
^West Ham +112 vs Everton +232
When: Saturday, November 9, 2024, 10:00 AM
Where: London Stadium, London, England
We start this weekend’s preview with a game that will have an impact on the bottom end of the table. Both of these teams are much too close to the relegation zone for comfort, so 3 points here would be a massive help for the eventual winner. West Ham has been wildly inconsistent over the last 5 games, going 2-2-1 in that stretch, but they are coming off a 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest last weekend. Everton has the same record over the last 5 and are coming off a 1-0 loss to fellow strugglers Southampton last week. I think that West Ham has more talent on offense, which could prove to be the edge here.
EPL Pick: West Ham 2-1 Everton |
Brighton +300 vs Manchester City -136
When: Saturday, November 9, 2024, 12:30 PM
Where: American Express Stadium, Falmer, England
This is a tough stretch of games for Brighton, who are coming off a loss to league leaders Liverpool last weekend. They were actually ahead in that one and were perhaps a little unlucky to come away with a 2-1 defeat. This weekend, they will be facing the defending champions, who appear to be going through a bit of a rough patch. When was the last time you remember Manchester City losing 3 in a row across all competitions? It has been a minute, but that is where they are now after a 4-1 hammering to Sporting in the Champions League this week. I think they bounce back here.
EPL Pick: Brighton 0-3 Manchester City |
Liverpool -222 vs Aston Villa +480
When: Saturday, November 9, 2024, 3:00 PM
Where: Anfield, Liverpool, England
This is the late game on Saturday, and it is, in my opinion, easily the best game on the Matchday 11 schedule. Liverpool is rolling at the moment, taking 25 points from a possible 30 in the Premier League, whilst also winning for fun in the Champions League. Villa is currently heading in the wrong direction, winning just 1 of their last 5 in the Premier League, although they did have 3 draws in that run, which has helped them remain in 6th place. Still, they need to start picking up points if they want to finish in the top 4. I’m not so sure they get the points they need in this one.
EPL Pick: Liverpool 2-0 Aston Villa |
Chelsea +179 vs Arsenal +141
When: Sunday, November 10, 2024, 11:30 AM
Where: Stamford Bridge, London, England
We are moving on to Sunday for the final game in this preview, and it is a big one. London derbies always tend to deliver some drama and major talking points, so expect nothing less from this one. The bad news for Chelsea is that they will be without the services of Cole Palmer, who is out with a minor injury. They are also coming off a less than impressive performance in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. In terms of the title race, Arsenal needs a boost, as they have now picked up just 1 point from a possible 9 in their last 3 games. This is a must win for them, but I think this might be a draw waiting to happen.
EPL Pick: Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal |

2023 English Matchday 11 Top Games
The English Premier League has a full slate of games this weekend. But although it’s fun to bet every Premier match, it can lead to a depleted bankroll. With that in mind, we’ve pulled out the top three EPL contests to back this week.
All three contests, Fulham hosting Man United, Bournemouth traveling to Manchester City, and Arsenal taking on Newcastle on the road, take place on Saturday, November 8.
Keep reading for Premier League winner odds, analysis, and free picks for six of this weekend’s best EPL matches.

Why Manchester United is a good bet versus Fulham
Before running into a couple of brick walls called Manchester City and Newcastle, the Red Devils had been on a 3-match winning streak.
The victories were decent. Man U beat Brentford, Sheffield, and Copenhagen by a combined 5 goals to 2. Fulham is a massive step down from either City or Newcastle. So United has a shot to get back on the winning track.
Why Fulham is a good bet versus Manchester United
Fulham has a single loss in their last 4 and it came versus the Premier League Standings leader, Tottenham. The loss also happened on the road in London.
Outside of losing to Tottenham, Fulham beat Ipswich Town in a Carabao Cup match, Sheffield United at home, and drew 1-1 versus Brighton on the road. So the form is decent.
Final Betting Prediction: Manchester United at Fulham
Soccer handicappers shouldn’t even think about backing Manchester United. The Red Devils are an absolute disaster.
ten Hag is having the same troubles that his predecessors had. In the last 2 matches, City and Newcastle dusted United 3-0. Fulham wins in regulation.

Manchester City vs AFC Bournemouth
Premier Odds: Manchester City -2.5-115; AFC Bournemouth +2.5 -105
Saturday, November 8th at 11:00 am ET | Matchweek 11
Etihad Stadium, Manchester, England
Why AFC Bournemouth is a good bet versus Manchester City
Bournemouth heads into this having lost 4-of-5, but the massive underdog doesn’t have to beat Man City for us to cash. All Bournemouth must do is not lose by more than 2 goals.
The underdog has lost their last 2 by a single goal in 2-1 matches versus Liverpool and Wolverhampton. For sure, Bournemouth can keep any loss close.
Why Manchester City is a good bet versus AFC Bournemouth
Man City is on fire. The Sky Blues hadn’t been playing well but in their last 2, they’ve rolled.
The Citizens dusted Young Boys 3-1 in a Champions League match and beat up United 3-0 in their last Premier game.
Final Betting Prediction: AFC Bournemouth at Manchester City
For sure, the Sky Blues can cover. But a quick view of the Sky Blues’s schedule reveals City may not be overly motivated to win this.
Man City faces the Young Boys on Tuesday, November 7. So although the Citizens will win, beating Bournemouth by 2 goals instead of 3 is the probable outcome.
EPL Pick: AFC Bournemouth +2.5 | Bet Newcastle United vs Arsenal Today

Newcastle United vs Arsenal
Premier Odds: Newcastle United +181; Arsenal +153
Saturday, November 8th at 1:30 pm ET | Matchweek 11
St. James’ Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England
Why Arsenal is a good bet versus Newcastle
The Gunners show 7 wins and 3 draws in their 10 Premier matches this season. Arsenal has 24 points on the standings, tied with Manchester City and just 2 points behind leader Tottenham.
Also, in the head-to-head versus Saturday’s rival, Arsenal has ruled, winning 3-of-5 with a draw and 1 loss.
Why Newcastle is a good bet versus Arsenal
Newcastle gets Arsenal on their pitch. The +181 home dog should be on even terms odds wise because Newcastle is in decent form.
In a Carabao Cup match earlier this week, Newcastle rolled to a 3-0 victory over Man United. No doubt, the home squad will keep it going on Saturday.
Final Betting Prediction: Arsenal at Newcastle
Newcastle played great but we shouldn’t read too much into the victory over the Red Devils. United is a mess.
So the fact Newcastle won could be a detriment to their chances on Saturday. Newcastle may bounce. Arsenal lost to West Ham in their Carabao Cup match. The Gunners could bounce back in a big way on Saturday. Give the road team the nod.
EPL Pick: Arsenal +153 | Bet Newcastle United vs Arsenal Today
