It’s a fun weekend for fans of the Cup Series, as we have the All-Star Race set to go at the Texas Motor Speedway. While the drivers in that series can relax and have a little fun this weekend, that is not the case for the drivers in the other two series. We have a Truck Series race set to go on Friday night, while the Xfinity Series will run the SRS Distribution 250 will begin on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM EST. While the wins have been spread out among several different drivers through the opening 11 races of the Xfinity Series season, we do have a couple who are multiple winners. It’ll be interesting to see if that trend hold this weekend in Texas, so let’s take a look at the favorites for the 2022 Xfinity Series SRS Distribution 250 along with their NASCAR Xfinity Series Odds.
NASCAR Xfinity Series Betting Preview for SRS Distribution 250 Race
William Byron (+330)
After winning the Xfinity Series Championship at the first time of asking in 2017, Byron made the move to the Cup Series, where he has already picked up a pair of wins this season. This is a rare visit to the Xfinity Series, but given hos recent performances, it is perhaps no real surprise that he comes into this one as the favorite to win the SRS Distribution 250. In terms of races in Texas at this level, we need to go back to that championship season, when Byron finished in the top 10 in both races. It is, though, worth noting that he finished 2nd in Texas in the Cup Series playoffs in 2021.
Noah Gragson (+400)
Whenever you have a driver dropping in from the Cup Series, you tend to see them in as the favorite to win, as Byron is in this race. There is no guarantee that they will win, though, and there are several drivers in the Xfinity Series who might be able to get the best of them. Noah Gragson has to be included in that group, especially when you consider how good he has been this season. He already has 2 wins on the season and has been on the podium on 4 other occasions through the opening 11 races, all of which is good enough to have him 2nd overall in the driver standings. He had a top 3 finish in Texas last season.
Justin Allgaier (+450)
When you come into the season among the favorites to win it all, you can argue that the pressure is somewhat raised. Allgaier is certainly considered a favorite when you consider that he has been consistently good through the last 11 seasons in the Xfinity Series, although he has failed to win a championship. Allgaier is in the mix again this season and he got the monkey off his back by taking his first checkered flag of the season in the previous race. Allgaier finished 2nd and 4th, respectively, in his 2 races in Texas last season.
Ty Gibbs (+550)
The decision that Gibbs made to race in the Xfinity Series full time this season appears to be a very good one, at least in the early going. He won 3 of the first 7 races of the year, and while he has cooled off a little, he still needs to be considered a favorite to win it all in 2022. It’s a little tougher to predict what he might do this weekend given that he did not race in Texas last season, but given his start to the year, he needs to be considered a threat.
