It’s a great time of year to be a NASCAR fan, as we are now into the playoffs and edging ever closer to a new set of champions being crowned. It’s a big weekend in the Truck Series, as we will see the playoff field cut from 10 to 8 after the running of the Kansas Lottery 200 on the Kansas Speedway track. We have Chandler Smith and Grant Enfinger assured of moving on to the next stage, as they both have wins in the Round of 10, but down near the cut line, things are about to get a little frantic. Who will survive and live to battle for the Truck Series Championship and who will be looking ahead to next season? We’ll find out soon enough, but for now, let’s look at some potential NASCAR Truck Series Betting favorites for this race.
NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for Worldwide Express 250 at Richmond Race
Chandler Smith
If you have been following the Truck Series this season, you will be well aware that Smith is currently sitting exactly where he deserves to be. He had a fantastic regular season and had that carry over by picking up a win in the Round of 10. There is every reason to believe that he will still be in the hunt once we get to the final race of the year, but we also know that things can change rather dramatically in this sport. He ran 4th in Kansas in an earlier race there this season and has to be a favorite to deliver the goods again this weekend.
Grant Enfinger
As mentioned at the top of this piece, Enfinger, like Chandler Smith, comes into this weekend knowing that his place in the Round of 8 is secured. It’s always good to be in that position, but Enfinger will want to deliver another good run as he looks to build momentum on the path to a championship. He has been great in the playoffs, winning the first race in the Round of 10, which was also his first win of the season, and then finishing 4th in the next race. He ran 3rd in Kansas earlier this season, so every reason to believe he might do well here again.
Zane Smith
If you want to talk about consistency, you need to talk about what Zane Smith is doing this season. He has 3 wins on the year, with one of those victories coming in Kansas, and while it has been a while since he has taken a checkered flag, he is on a run that has seen him land in the top 10 in 9 straight races. That is the type of form that tends to lead to a deep run in the playoffs. That said, Smith would like to get a win coming down the stretch, and this might just be where he gets it.
John H. Nemechek
It has been a strange sort of season for Nemechek, but even with his ups and downs, you still wouldn’t count him out of winning it all. He saw a return to form in the last race with a 2nd place finish, but will that carry over into the rest of the playoffs? His last 2 runs in Kansas have seen him finish 5th and 6th, respectively, but you can bet that he will be looking for better as he prepares to move on to the Round of 8.
