NASCAR Truck Series Odds: Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt Betting Analysis

It is always exciting when something a little different shows up on the NASCAR schedule, with road races and dirt track runs a welcome break from the oval circuits that we are used to seeing week in and week out. We have something special to look forward to this weekend, as the NASCAR drivers will be in Bristol for a run on the dirt. Given that we don’t see these types of races very often on the NASCAR schedule, it is perhaps not a great surprise to see some Cup Series drivers take a spot in the Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt as they prepare for their big race on Sunday. Those entries have had an impact on the NASCAR Truck Series odds for this race, so let’s take a look at the current favorites.

NASCAR Truck Series Betting Preview for Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt

Joey Logano (+450)

It has not been the greatest start to the Cup Series season for Logano, who is still looking for his first win of the season. He will be looking at this weekend as an opportunity to build on his 2nd place finish in Martinsville last weekend, so dropping into the Truck Series seems like a good way to help keep that going. Logano raced just once at this level in 2021, but he came away with the win in that one. He will be looking for more of the same in Bristol, where he won the dirt track race in the Cup Series last season. He seems like a worthy favorite here, but he will have some stiff competition.

Chase Elliott (+500)

Elliott is not a driver who wins a lot of individual races in the Cup Series, but he has a knack for regularly getting into the top 5 or top 10 and picking up points. He did that a couple of years ago and won at the right times to secure a championship. He is following a similar format this season and is dropping into the Truck Series to prep for the Sunday race. He finished 10th in the dirt race at Bristol last season, but we can probably expect a much better finish at this level. He does have 3 Truck Series wins under his belt over the past few years.

Grant Enfinger (+800)

Enfinger is looking to bounce back after a bit of a disappointing season in 2021, where he finished 11th overall in the Truck Series. This came after a solid showing the preceding year, when he made it all the way into the final four. His form has not been particularly great in the early going, but dirt racing is an entirely different proposition. Enfinger was very much in the hunt in last season’s dirt race in Bristol, ending up finishing 6th overall in that one.

Stewart Friesen (+800)

Of the regular Truck Series drivers, Friesen is the highest in the driver standings among the favorites for this race. He has yet to win this season, but he has done enough to get himself into the top 4. He has been in the top 10 in 3 of the 5 races this season, but he fell outside of that in the corresponding race at Bristol last year, running 12th in that one. It’ll be interesting to see how he does when going head-to-head against a pair of Cup Series drivers.
