While the Cup and Xfinity Series drivers are essentially just getting started with their playoffs, the Truck Series is now in the winding down phase. The number of drivers left in the hunt to win it all is down to just 8, and we now have only 3 races remaining before we get to the final 4 and the race for the championship. If you look at the current standings, there are not a lot of surprises to be found, as it is the drivers who have been delivering the goods all season long who are currently sitting in the top 4 spots. As we all know, though, they are not safe, and a lot can change over the next 3 races. The next race up is the UNOH 200, which will go on Thursday night in Bristol under the lights. Let’s take a look at the current top 4 drivers so you can plan your bets and place them against their NASCAR Truck Series Odds.

Zane Smith
Smith comes into this one having already won 3 races this season. The last of those victories came in the early part of the year, but he is at the top because he has been stunningly consistent throughout, landing in the top 5 in 11 out of 19 races. Given that level of consistency, you do get the feeling that he is overdue for a win, and now would be the perfect time to get it as it would cement his spot in the final 4, a place that he thoroughly deserves. He hasn’t won on the Bristol track, but he has also never been outside the top 10 in those runs, so he will be in the mix.
Chandler Smith
Smith closed out the regular season with a win and has since added another in the playoffs, taking his win tally on the season to 3. He seems to be rounding into form at the right time, gathering the kind of momentum that very often leads to a championship. There is still a lot of work to be done, though, but there is very good reason to believe that he could finish in front this weekend, as he was the winner of this race in 2021. If he can repeat that victory on Thursday night, he might be in prime position to win it all.
John H. Nemechek
Sometimes winning a championship means getting hot at the right time, and Nemechek may just be doing that. He punched his ticket into the Round of 8 with a victory in the final race of the last round, so he will be looking to carry that over into this one. Nemechek seems to enjoy racing at the Bristol track, as he has finished 3rd there in each of his last 2 runs. He has a real shot to do even better this week and punch his ticket into the final 4.
Ben Rhodes
While other drivers seem to be thriving under the playoff pressure, Rhodes is struggling, and has now failed to crack the top 10 in the last 2 races. He is holding on to the #4 spot in the driver standings right now, but if his current form continues, he will not be there for very long. If there is a silver lining to be found, it’s that his lone win of the season came in Bristol, so perhaps a repeat is on the cards.
