UFC 273: Volkanovski vs The Korean Zombie Betting Odds & Predictions

Fight fans had better be prepared to buckle in for a big night, as it looks as though UFC 273 has all the makings of a brilliant event. The main card, which will have 5 fights in all, is outstanding and includes a pair of title fights at the top of the card. Better yet, it has a start time of 6 PM, so no need to stay up all night waiting for the big fights. There is an awful lot of ground to cover here, so let’s jump into the main card and preview all 5 fights, with UFC Betting Odds and predictions for each.

UFC 273: Volkanovski vs The Korean Zombie Odds & Analysis | MMA Betting Preview

Vinc Pichel (-125) Vs Mark Madsen (-105)

We get the night rolling with a Lightweight bout that features one fighter putting a perfect record on the line. Pichel comes into this one with a 14-2 record and is on a run that has seen him win 3 in a row and 4 of his last 5 fights. Madsen is a slight underdog in this fight despite having won all 11 of his fights to this point in his career. I have to say that I think Madsen is fabulous value at these MMA odds and I like him to win by decision.

Mackenzie Dern (-120) Vs Tecia Torres (-110)

The women are up next for a Strawweight bout that looks to be about as evenly matched as you can get. Dern saw a 4-fight win streak come to an end with a decision loss last time out and will be looking to bounce back and get on track. That took her overall record to 11-2. Torres is 13-5 overall and has recovered nicely from a 3-fight losing skid, winning each of her last 3 fights. This should be a close one, but I think Dern will edge it.

Gilbert Burns (+370) Vs Khamzat Chimaev (-520)

Next up on the main card, we have a Welterweight bout and another fighter looking to defend a perfect record. Burns comes into this fight with an impressive 20-4 record and is on a run that has seen him win 4 off his last 5. He is going to be up against it in this one, though, as he goes against Chimaev, who comes in with a perfect 10-0 record. I don’t see this one going the distance, as I like Chimaev to get the KO and keep his unbeaten streak alive.

Aljamain Sterling (+355) Vs Petr Yan (-480)

The co-main event of the night is a huge one, as it’s a rematch for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Sterling comes into this one on a 6-fight win streak, which includes a win over Yan, albeit because of a disqualification. That took his record to 20-3. Yan is still the interim champion and bounced back with a win after losing to Sterling. I think he bounces back completely and regains the title outright with a KO win.

Alexander Volkanovski (-700) Vs Korean Zombie (+475)

We close out the night with another title fight, with this one for the Featherweight Championship, with Volkanovski coming in as the defending champion. The champ has been brilliant from start to finish and comes in with a 23-1 record. The Korean Zombie is a very respectable 23-6 in his career, but he does have a couple of losses in his last 5 fights. I just don’t see Volkanovski losing this one, although he may be forced to go the distance to get the win.
