While perhaps not as popular as the numbered events in the UFC, the Fight Night cards are still fun to watch and wager on. The latest event comes on Saturday, with a 6-fight main card that is set to go off at the Las Vegas Apex at 4 PM EST. There are some very interesting bouts in this card, with the potential to make some money very much there. We are going to break down all 6 fights by taking a look at the UFC Betting Odds and making some predictions as we go, so let’s get to it.
MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Santos Vs Ankalaev
Bruno Silva (+150) Vs Alex Pereira (-180)
It’s a battle of the Brazilian Middleweights that will serve as the opening bout on the main card. Silva is on a 7-fight win streak, including 3 in a row in the UFC, with his overall record now sitting at 22-6. Pereira is still early in his career and is on a 4-fight win streak after losing his first pro fight. He looked solid in his first UFC bout, and I like him to get the KO win here.
Drew Dober (-165) Vs Terrance McKinney (+135)
The Lightweights are up next, with one of these fighters in dire need of a win. That would be Dober, who comes into this one on the heels of back-to-back losses, falling to 23-11 in the process. McKinney is 12-3 and the winner of 5 in a row, including a pair of wins under the UFC banner. I have Dober on upset alert here, as I like McKinney for the KO win.
Khalil Rountree (+100) Vs Karl Roberson (-130)
Next up is a Light Heavyweight bout between a pair of fighters looking to snap out of a funk. Rountree is coming off a win, but he has still lost 3 of his last 5 fights, falling to 9-5 in the process. Roberson comes in at 9-4 and is looking to bounce back after taking 2 straight losses. This one could go either way, but I am leaning towards Rountree for the KO win.
Alex Caceres (+205) Vs Sodiq Yussuf (-245)
Okay, so we have gone with back-to-back upset picks, but will we see another in this Featherweight bout? Caceres is the underdog here despite the fact that he has won 6 in a row to get to 19-12. Yussuf is looking to bounce back after losing last time out and falling to 11-2 overall. I don’t see a surprise here, as I like Yussuf to get the decision.
Marlon Moraes (+195) Vs Yadong Song (-250)
The co-main event of the night is a Bantamweight bout between two fighters heading in different directions. Moraes has lost 3 in a row and 4 of his last 5 to fall to 23-9-1 overall, something that has affected his MMA odds in each fight. On the flipside, Song is 18-6-1 and has gone 3-1-1 over his last 5, including wins in his last 2. I think Song gets this one over with quickly by way of KO.
Thiago Santos (+385) Vs Magomed Ankalaev (-560)
The final fight of the night is a Light Heavyweight bout that looks to be the most lopsided of the bunch. Santos did manage a win in his last outing, snapping a 3-fight losing streak in the process and getting to 22-9. Ankalaev is 16-1 overall and is tearing up the rankings with a 7-fight win streak. I think he easily extends that run to 8 here.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
