MMA Betting Preview for UFC Fight Night: Volkov Vs Aspinall
UCF Fight Night Main Card
- When: Saturday, March 19 at 1:30 pm ET
- Where: O2 Arena, London, England
- TV/Streaming: ESPN+
Jai Herbert +400 vs Ilia Topuria -550
Topuria has a terrific 11-0 record. But the chalk gives up 5 inches to 11-3 Justin Herbert.
The underdog heads into this after a terrific knockout win over Khama Worthy last October 23. Herbert is 9-2 in TKO/KO wins. The MMA odds make him worth backing.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Jai Herbert
Molly McCann -130 vs Luana Carolina +110
McCann has a terrific 11-4 record. At 8-2, Carolina’s record isn’t bad either. McCann will be tough to beat for sure, but Carolina has a big 7-inch reach advantage.
Because McCann is a striker, she will have trouble getting to the slight underdog. Also, Carolina has won 4-of-5.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Luana Carolina
Gunnar Nelson -500 vs Takashi Sato +480
17-5-1 Gunnar Nelson is a huge favorite over 16-4 Takashi Sato. The underdog has lost 2-of-3. Both losses were by submission.
When it comes to TKO and KO wins versus losses, Sato is fantastic. The dog has an 11-1 record. But Nelson is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master. He’ll get Sato to the ground and then force Takashi to tap out. Sato loses via submission for the third time in his last 4 bouts.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Gunnar Nelson
Paddy Pimblett -550 vs Kazula Vargas +400
Underdog Kazula Vargas has an excellent 12-4 record. Vargas broke a 2-match losing streak last April with a decision victory over Rong Zhu.
Because this happens in London, Pimblett has home cage advantage. The favorite also has a real nice 7-3 record, has won 4-of-5 and 3 straight, and in his first UFC bout, dominated Luigi Vendramini. Pimblett wins this via KO or TKO.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Paddy Pimblett
Arnold Allen -120 vs Dan Hooker +100
20-11 veteran Dan Hooker is up against a tough hometown favorite in Arnold Allen. The chalk has gone 17-1 during his career.
Hooker, though, has fought the much better opponents. The UFC vet has lost 3-of-5. 2-of-3 losses were to top MMA brawlers Dustin Poirier and 21-1 Islam Makhachev. Both would be big favorites against Allen.
In addition, Hooker has a 4-inch reach advantage. The odds make Hooker a slight overlay.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Dan Hooker
Alexander Volkov +110 vs Tom Aspinall -130
It makes sense that Aspinall is the chalk. Not only does he play in his home nation, but Aspinall is 11-2, 8-0 via TKO or KO wins, and 3-1 via submission wins.
Volkov, though, is a monster. He’s got a 2-inch height advantage and is 22-2 in KO or TKO victories. He’s also 3-2 in submission wins and has fought some of the best on the planet, including Alistair Overeem, Cyril Gane, and Curtis Blaydes. Volkov wins this match.
UFC Fight Night Pick: Alexander Volkov
