College Basketball Betting – Week 7 odds: Top Games to Wager On Tuesday and Thursday

Kansas Jayhawks at Colorado Buffalos

  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 21

The 9-1 Jayhawks head to Colorado to take on a better than they look Buffalos team. Colorado is 9-3.

2 of the Buffalos losses happened against ranked teams UCLA and Tennessee. Both the Bruins and Vols are Final Four contenders. So losing to either isn’t a big deal.

With that being written, Rock Chalk Jayhawk appears poised for a winning run. Since an upset loss to Kansas on Nov. 26, the Jayhawks have run off 5 straight wins. Kansas star Ochai Agbaji averages 22 points per. Colorado doesn’t have a player that can match up with Agbaji. The Jayhawks win and cover.

NCAAM Pick: Kansas Jayhawks

UConn Huskies at Marquette Golden Eagles

  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 21

After starting the season winning 6-of-7, the lone loss was against Michigan State, Connecticut has fallen back to the Big East pack. The Huskies have lost 2-of-3.

UConn scored 53 points in both losses, 56-53 against West Virginia and 57-53 versus Providence. Connecticut could turn it around against rival Marquette.

More than likely, though, Marquette gets back on the winning track. The Golden Eagles head into this after a 2 straight losses, to UCLA and Xavier. Both the Bruins and Musketeers are much better than the Huskies. Marquette grabs the win and cover.

NCAAM Pick: Marquette Golden Eagles

Arizona Wildcats at Tennessee Volunteers

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 22

Tennessee is a solid basketball team. The Volunteers average 78.5 points and allow just 57.9 per game.

But although the Vols have home court advantage on Wednesday, they’ll be hard-pressed to beat a team as solid as the Arizona Wildcats. The 11-0 Cats are also 8-2-1 ATS.

That’s what happens when you’re the top scoring team in the nation, over 91 per, and allow less than 63 points per game on average. Behind the play of National Player of the Year candidate Benedict Mathurin, U-of-A should secure another impressive road win and cover.

NCAAM Pick: Arizona Wildcats

Virginia Tech Hokies at Duke Blue Devils

  • When: Wednesday, Dec. 22

Since a loss to Ohio State, Duke has rolled. But we shouldn’t get too excited about the Dookies covering what for sure will be an underlay spread on Wednesday.

The three teams Duke beat, South Carolina State, App State, and Elon, don’t hold a candle to Virginia Tech. The Hokies head into this game after an 86-49 beating they handed St. Bonaventure on a neutral court. VA Tech should not only cover, but they’ve got a real shot to win this straight up. Go Hokies moneyline if you’re playing for the big money.

NCAAM Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies

Butler Bulldogs at St. John’s Red Storm

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 23

Butler versus St. John’s should be a very good basketball game. The Bulldogs are 7-4. St. John’s is 8-3.

Neither team is very good against the spread. The Bulldogs have gone 3-7. St. John’s has gone 4-7. Because the Red Storm is at home, they have a slight edge. But in close Big East games like this one, it’s best to take the points, which means Butler is the play.

NCAAM Pick: Butler Bulldogs

Seton Hall Pirates at DePaul Blue Demons

  • When: Thursday, Dec. 23

Seton Hall’s Monday game versus St. John’s got canceled due to Covid. So far, no word on whether the Pirates will play on Thursday.

If the Hall does step onto the court versus DePaul, they should be tough to beat. The Pirates are 9-1 straight up and 6-3 against the spread.

The Blue Demons, though, are 9-2 and 7-2-1 against the spread. Whether DePaul ends up the dog or chalk, they’re the pick.

NCAAM Pick: DePaul Blue Demons
