2023 The Loop 121 Odds of the NASCAR Xfinity Series

While we all love the excitement of NASCAR and the different challenged provided by each track, it’s even more exciting when we get a race that is a little bit different from the rest. That is what we are getting this weekend, as the drivers will be in Chicago for a street race that should prove to be especially challenging when compared to the usual oval tracks.

Heading into this weekend, Nemechek finds himself atop the driver standings in the Xfinity Series, but his lead at the top is just 9 points so it’s certainly not time to relax. Nemechek has a pair of wins on the season, but he is on a bit of a winless run, as he has now gone 7 straight races without a checkered flag. It’s not all doom and gloom, though, as he had a trio of top 5 finishes during that run. Prior to joining NASCAR, Nemechek raced in a number of different places, so this is a race that might just suit him.

Justin Allgaier

Odds to Win Loop 121: +500

With the season rolling on, Allgaier finds himself in his usual position, which is within striking distance of the top spot in the driver standings. For more than a decade now, Allgaier has been arguably the most consistent driver in the Xfinity Series, but all without ever getting over the top and winning a championship. You can generally always count on him to be in the mix, though, and while he has just 1 win this season, he is among the leaders more often than not, which is why he is currently sitting 3rd overall in the standings.

Cole Custer

Odds to Win Loop 121: +500

If you consider this street race to be like a road course, then there is a good reason why you might want to consider Custer for the win this weekend. He has won a single race this season, with that one coming on the road course in Indianapolis. Looking back over his career, this is a driver who seems to save his best for the non-traditional tracks, which is another reason why I see him as a really good bet. If you were going to hold my feet to the fire and make me pick an outright winner, I would choose Custer this weekend.

Austin Hill

Odds to Win Loop 121: +500

In his first full season with the Xfinity Series in 2022, Hill had a solid showing, failing to make it to the final 4 but finishing 6th overall. The expectation was that he would do even better in his second full season, and he is certainly on that path, as he is currently sitting 2nd overall in the driver standings. Hill came storming out the gate with 3 wins in the first 5 races, and while he has cooled off a little, he has finished no worse than 8th in 6 straight races. He seems overdue for another win.
