In the world of NASCAR, it is the Cup Series that grabs the majority of the headlines. For fans of the sport, though, things run a little deeper than just that single series. The Xfinity and Truck Series also do well, but there are a couple of others, namely the ARCA Menards Series and the Pinty’s Series that some fans enjoy following. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus on some of the smaller events that fall under the NASCAR banner. The goal here is to draw some attention to these races, as we think you will find that you are going to enjoy the action they deliver. Not only that, you might just catch some up and coming Cup Series stars on the rise. Let’s jump right into action so you can make your bets against the NASCAR Truck Series Odds.
Auto Racing Betting Preview for Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, & Pinty’s Series Races
Truck Series
There are a couple of big stories to follow in the Truck Series this weekend, the biggest of which is that it is the last regular season race of the year. After this weekend, the field will be cut to 10 drivers in with a shot at winning the championship. The other piece of news to keep an eye on is that Zane Smiith has the chance to wrap up the regular season title. As big as that would be for him, he is also well aware that it will mean nothing if he doesn’t deliver the goods in the playoffs.
Zane Smith is in as the joint favorite for the CRC Brakleen 150 at the Pocono Raceway alongside 3 other drivers. That gives you an example of just how tight the bookies think this race might be. Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, Ryan Preece, and Corey Helm are all listed at +500, so this really is a bit of a best guess scenario. With a shot at winning the regular season title, I might be inclined to favor Smith in this one.
ARCA Menards Series
This series will join the other NASCAR drivers at the Pocono Raceway this weekend for the running of the General Tire Drivers 200. The battle at the top of the driver standings is a tight one, with the top 3 drivers separated by just 8 points. We could well see a change at the top this weekend, depending on how this race plays out.
It is Rajah Caruth who has the top spot at the moment, and while he has yet to win a race this season, he has been in the top 10 in 7 of the 9 races run. That is a high level of consistency that you would expect to see continue. Nick Sanchez is 2nd overall and has to be seen as one of the favorites. He has 2 wins on the season.
Pinty’s Series
While all the other NASCAR Series will be in Pennsylvania at the Pocono Raceway, the Pinty’s Series will be in Edmonton. This is a Canadian based series, which may explain why fans in the US may not be totally familiar with it. There have been 5 races run already this season, and it is Kevin Lacroix, who has already won 2 races, who leads the pack.
While Lacroix will almost certainly be the favorite to win in Alberta, there are a couple of other drivers to keep an eye on. Marc-Antoine Camirand is just 3 points back of the lead in the driver standings, while Gary Klutt is right on their heels.
