The only SEC school without a league loss is national No. 1 Auburn, and the Tigers should stay that way as they visit struggling LSU, which has just one SEC victory and is a double-digit home underdog on the NCAAB odds.

No. 1 Auburn (18-1, 6-0 SEC) won its 11th game in a row on Saturday, 53-51 over No. 6 Tennessee, thanks to Miles Kelly’s corner 3-pointer with 30 seconds left. Tahaad Pettiford’s floater had pulled the Tigers within two with 1:46 remaining, then Auburn forced a turnover and a missed shot on successive Tennessee possessions. The Volunteers blocked Johni Broome’s shot, but the All-American got the rebound and passed to Kelly in the corner for that 3-pointer.
Johni Broome
Auburn got another stop, and Broome grabbed the rebound and called timeout with 13.7 seconds remaining. Tennessee fouled Pettiford, who made one of two free throws for a two-point Auburn lead with 12.7 to play. After a Tennessee timeout, Zakei Zeigler missed a go-ahead corner 3-pointer with 5 seconds left, and Broome rebounded to secure the win. Helped by the return of Broome to the lineup after missing a couple of games injured, Auburn outrebounded Tennessee 41-37.
Broome finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots in 33 minutes. He came off the bench for just the second time in 85 career games at Auburn and just the fifth time in his collegiate career. Broome moved past Doc Robinson and Gary Redding for 19th all-time on Auburn’s career scoring list finishing the night with 1,345 points. He also finished the night with 203 blocks in his Auburn career, joining Kyle Davis and Mamadou N’diaye as the only players in program history with 200 blocks. For the fifth time of his career, Broome was selected as SEC Player of the Week.

Chaney Johnson
Johnson added 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting. The Tigers are now 6-0 in games decided by five points or less this season with wins over No. 4 Houston (74-69), No. 5 Iowa State (83-81), at Texas (87-82), at South Carolina (66-63), at No. 23 Georgia (70-68) and over No. 6 Tennessee.
Bruce Pearl
“We can play better, and we still were able to beat a great team,” Auburn coach Pearl said. “We’ve won four of the last six games in the last possession. It’s going to be a battle every night, but we are happy with this one because that’s a great team. … The big key is you can’t get too high or too low. We’ve got to get better. I’ve got to do a better job. The book is out on everybody. What’s Plan B? What’s Plan C? We’ve got to come up with it.”
Points Allowed
The 51 points allowed were the fewest points Auburn has held an SEC opponent to since holding Arkansas to 51 points in last year’s SEC opener. The Tigers held the Volunteers to 31.5 percent (17-of-54) shooting overall and 18.2 percent (4-of-22) from 3-point range. It was the seventh time the Tigers have held an opponent to under 30 percent shooting from long range this season including the third time in the last four games.
The Streak
Auburn has won eight of its last nine against ranked opponents including a nation’s best seven victories over Top 25 opponents against just one defeat this season. The Tigers have defeated ranked opponents in three-straight games for the second time in program history and have knocked off ranked SEC opponents in three-straight games for the first time ever. The Tigers’ seven wins over ranked opponents sets a new program record, a fact that you could use in the Auburn vs LSU Odds.
This marks the fifth time in program history the Tigers have won at least 18 of its first 19 games and the first time since they started 22-1 during the 2021-22 season. It also marks the third time all-time Auburn has opened SEC play 6-0 after starting league play 10-0 in 2022 and 11-0 in 1959. It’s the sixth time under Pearl the school has won at least 11 straight games.
Unbeaten Team
It’s the fourth time in the last eight seasons Auburn is the last remaining undefeated team in SEC play. The team’s 12-game conference winning streak overall is second-longest in the nation. With an offensive rating of 131.3 in the latest KenPom rankings, Auburn is on pace to becoming the highest-rated offense in the history of KenPom (since 2001-02). Additionally, the Tigers’ +36.35 net rating is fifth all-time on the platform. Auburn is 5-0 in games decided by five points or fewer this year.

LSU (12-7, 1-5 SEC) played well Saturday but lost 80-73 at No. 4 Alabama. The game was tied 40-40 at the half. Both teams traded baskets for the first five minutes of the second period as the Crimson Tide held the advantage (52-50). Grant Nelson entered double figures for his third game in a row after his three-pointer put Alabama back ahead at the under-12-minute media timeout (63-56).
After swapping baskets for another five minutes of action, the Crimson Tide still held its ground on the scoreboard with just over five minutes to go (69-62). Alabama found its offensive momentum on a quick 8-0 run to take a double-digit lead for the first time of the matchup (77-64) The Tigers went on a 9-3 run in the closing two minutes, but the Crimson Tide held on.
Jordan Sears
Sears led LSU with 21 points with six assists on 7-of-14 shooting with one trey and 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Sears has made all 28 free throws in SEC play this season. Cam Carter had 17 points with Corey Chest scoring 12 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, with Daimion Collins adding 10 points. Chest’s 18 rebounds was the most since Darius Days had 18 against Louisiana Tech on Dec. 18, 2021.

The Stats
LSU was only able to shoot 39.4 percent from the field and 3-of-23 from three-point range, including just 1-of-11 in the final 20 minutes. LSU was 28-of-71 overall and 14-of-19 from the free throw line. They outrebounded Alabama, 43-41, with 17 offensive rebounds and a 14-11 advantage in second chance points. LSU finished the game up 17-11 in points off turnovers. But the Tide had a five-point edge at the free-throw line.
Matt McMahon
“We forced some turnovers tonight. We got 12 steals which was huge for us, and we’ve talked these last couple games. At Texas A&M, I think they took 14 more shots than us on goal, because we lost the turnover battle and we lost the offensive glass,” Coach McMahon said. “(Against Alabama), we ended up actually getting 10 more shots than Alabama because of the effort on the offensive glass, because the turnovers were even. But at the end of the day, the free throw line — they won that battle there we were never able to hit that big three to get us ahead there in the second half.”
Shooting Percentage
Something that you could use or consider in Auburn vs LSU Odds, is the fact that LSU is shooting 57.7 percent from inside the arc, which is 17th in the country and three in the SEC. LSU is six points better than last season when it was at 51.4 percent. Three players are in the top 10 of the SEC in two-point field goal percentage.
Vyctorius Miller
LSU could get back freshman guard Miller from injury for this one as he partook in his first full-contact practice Monday since going down. Miller, who has missed the past three games, started the season playing just 20 minutes combined in the first two games with three total points. Since then, Miller has played no less than 20 minutes in 11 games. For the season to date, he is hitting 56-of-115 field goals (48.7%) with 19 treys and 31-of-39 at the free throw line (79.5%). Miller for the year is now averaging 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
The Tigers are 0-3 his season against ranked teams and 95-285 against teams ranked in the AP poll since its inception. They are 7-1 this year when holding teams to 70 points or fewer.
^Auburn vs LSU Last Meeting
This season’s only scheduled meeting between Auburn and LSU saw Auburn win last season 93-78 at home, ranked 16th. Chad Baker-Mazara shone with 19 points and six steals, while All-American Johni Broome contributed 18 points and seven rebounds. Auburn capitalized on LSU’s 17 turnovers, leading by 28 before LSU’s 21-2 run. Baker-Mazara’s late 3-pointer helped Auburn regain control.
