In what could be a preview of the AFC Championship game, the Cincinnati Bengals will host the Buffalo Bills for the Monday Night Football game. This game holds a lot of importance. While the Bills are currently in the top spot in the AFC Playoffs, the Bengals still have a shot at the top spot as well. The Bills and Chiefs are currently tied atop the AFC with 12-3 records. The Bills hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs, as they beat them earlier in the season. A Cincinnati victory would knock the Bills out of the top spot, and a Chiefs victory, would knock Buffalo to the third position.
With this being such a huge game in the grand scheme of things, we’re expecting to see a barnburner in Cincinnati. Let’s take a look at both teams, and then we’ll give you our NFL Betting prediction on who will win this all-important Monday night matchup.
Could We Be Seeing a Preview of the AFC Championship Game on Monday Night?
Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen and the Bills just keep finding ways to win. It may not always be pretty, but they’re getting the job done. With a 12-3 record, the Bills know that they can’t afford to lose at this point in the season. As of now, they hold home-field advantage in the playoffs, and they want to keep it that way.
Allen and the offense have been carrying the Bills. Even when the passing game isn’t going well, Allen’s legs seem to get things done. With Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and Dawson Knox all playing well, we expect to see more good things from the Bills offense.
We’ll see if the Bills defense can put things back together to slow down a powerful Cincinnati offense. The Bills defense found ways to slow down Justin Fields and the Bears offense last week. They’ll have enough tougher foe this week.
Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow and the Bengals have won seven straight, and they’re looking to make a run at the top spot in the AFC Playoffs. Burrow and the offense have been rolling over the past few weeks. With Ja’Marr Chase back healthy, the Bengals offense has been terrific. Burrow has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He has also had help from his vastly improved offensive line. However, starting right tackle La’el Collins is out for the season, so that could be an issue.
We’ll see if the Bengals defense will be ready for Allen. This unit hasn’t gotten the notoriety that the offense has, but they’ve been very good this season. You have to play good defense to win seven straight games, so this unit deserves some credit too.
Prediction
The Bengals are 12-3 against the spread this season, and they are also 5-0 against the spread in their last five home games. The oddsmakers have made the Bills a one-point favorite in this one. With this game being at home and on a Monday night, the stadium will be electric. We think that the Bengals come to play, and they will beat the Bills by a field goal.
